Chapter 2 by Sweigard89 Sweigard89

Mel

I really don’t know where to begin with this story, mostly because of my problems. All I needed was an escape, a break from my life. I guess that’s where Mel comes in. We grew up together, I want to say we met in elementary school but it could have been middle school. All I remember is that one day I was eating lunch and she suddenly walked up and sat down across from me. The rest was history. Now where grown up, each with our own separate lives. We still get together from time to time to hang out, catching up on the latest gossip of our town. She has always been there for me and I her, through thick and thin, through failed relationships. I guess I’m getting ahead of myself, let me describe her to yall. Melody, or Mel as what we all call her, was something of beauty, the type that turned heads whenever she walk through the mall or down the street. Whenever we went out to eat or out to drink, guys would always flirt with her knowing I would never land such a gorgeous woman in a relationship. If I had to guess, she was about 6 foot with thick thighs and a small waist. Her ass and breast were something to drool about, both large and part of her personality. She blond hair that reached down to the middle of her back, always kept up in a ponytail or curled. Her eyes were a deep blue, the type that could look into your soul and tell if you were having a bad day. I was having a such bad day when her eyes looked me over as I flopped down on her couch, just getting off a shift of bartending down at our local bar. It was barely evening time, I had worked the day shift. I open my eyes and look over at her, her hand closing her laptop with a sigh. She looked over at me with a smirk, “What has you all in a huff? The waitresses shove you into your work locker?” I give her a playful scowl and then let out a chuckle, “Noooooo…na seriously though, life’s just using me as a punching bag. To many situations to talk about.” I let out a sigh before sitting up and look up at the ceiling, “Do you ever wish you can just get away from all of your responsibilities? Just go somewhere and just exist?” She looks over at me, an eyebrow raised. She scooted closer to me, our knees touching. “Go on…”, a look of interest and amusement on her face. “I don’t know, sometimes I’m jealous of the animals I see everyday. Don’t laugh, but sometimes I’m even jealous of the inanimate objects in our lives. Just sitting there till we have a use for them. Hell, sometimes my jealousy goes to the length of the inanimate objects found around women’s homes. At least they have a purpose making a woman happy and her life easier. I cant remember the last time I was a subject of fulfillment in a woman’s life outside of work.” Mel let out a chuckle, “Oh Hun, your not missing much. If anything, you have it made. You shouldn’t be jealous of objects in a woman’s home, most of us use and **** the shit out of the objects in our homes. And since most women aren’t really good at fixing things, when something breaks, we just trash it.” I just frown as I lean forward and look down at my hands. “You laugh at me but I’m serious, it would feel amazing to be wanted, to be needed, to have a purpose in a woman’s life…” A look of seriousness spread across her face, “Do you really mean that?” I look over at her, “With all of my heart.” She let out a sigh before looking up at the ceiling, her lips mumbling words inaudible do the ear. Finished doing whatever she was doing, she looked back over at me with a frown on her lips and let out a sigh, her hand reaching up to stroke my cheek before clicking her fingers. My vision went dark, not before tingles spreading over my body.
