Rely upon Rosary's Geodsight

For generations, the gift of prophecy had helped Geod's faithful to survive through turbulent times. Prophets of the church would sometimes be granted with a dream-like vision, imparting wisdom that defies explanation. The eyes, glowing gold from their sockets, were said to be proof of receiving His true word.

Sister Rosary had been blessed with this gift ever since she first received her saintess mark, but this was the first time you had been around to witness it. The nun clasped her hands together at her breast, watching the insightful images play out, seen only to her. "I see it... there is... a wine bottle... The wine bottle underneath the dresser over there," she explained, pointing in that direction.{if Helmid = True}

"Well... yes, there are wine bottles strewn all around the room. Is that all our Lord had to say?" Helmid questioned, raising one eyebrow with an awkward frown. She didn't want to directly doubt the wisdom of the creator Himself, but one only had to take a sniff of the air to know Mertz had been drinking.{endif}{if Amulette = True}

Amulette rolled her eyes and smirked. "Outstanding observation, oh omnipotent Geod," the witch joked, obviously not impressed that Geodsight had shown Rosary one bottle in a room full of them.{endif}{if Belit = True}

"... An empty bottle?" Belit questioned, looking crestfallen. "I thought Geodsight pointed people towards treasure and stuff. That's kind of a letdown." You thought Belit had gotten some facts wrong herself, but you were curious about the real meaning of Rosary's vision.{endif}{if Bangaal = True}

"Wow! It's nothing at all!" Bangaal laughed, looking up from the bed's pillow for a moment before resting her cheek back upon it. "That Geod sure is a prankster, is he not?"{endif}{if Liens = True}

"Yeah. Tripped me. A moment ago. Slob. Needs a maid. Or a mother," Liens grumbled, adjusting her goggles and squinting at the dresser. "But what's special about the bottle? Empty. Useless. Unless...?"{endif}

"Th-There must be something to it. In my vision, I picture our good squire lifting the bottle from the floor. There is something tied about the neck of the bottle... a ribbon! Yes... Do you see something like that?" the sister asked, turning her eyes your way.

Sure enough, there was an elegant red ribbon around the neck of the bottle, but what did that tell you?

"I-I think I've got it! The bottle was a gift! See there? Someone had attached a note to it originally, which was ripped off and discarded so it wouldn't get in the way while he imbibed. Oh... he has a lover, perhaps?" Rosary questioned, looking momentarily starry-eyed. Her expression faded when she reconsidered that this was Mertz she was talking about. "Whoever they are, they have... rather poor taste."

There wasn't time to find the note, but this bottle could still be a lead. The label on the bottle's face gave you a location to investigate: Wiseman Winery, located not too far from this very checkpoint, just between the gate and the nearby farmlands. You could get there quickly, even without the cart.

"Was the vision of some use?" Rosary questioned, raising her eyebrows hopefully. When you nodded, she began beaming, her face changing from a worried frown to a radiant smile. "Oh... Praise be to our lord!"

You wanted to praise Him too, but for now, you all needed a way out. The investigation had burned every bit of grace period you had and it was clear guards would be bursting in any minute. "He showed me one other thing too! This way! Um... after you," Rosary requested, holding open the hatch of an opening that had been hidden beneath Mertz' carpet. You got the sense that Rosary didn't want to go last, perhaps suspecting you might see more than she wanted to if you looked up while she descended the ladder into the cavern.
