Convincing Elizabeth
Now that Moses had Shanequa locked up, he needed to convince Elizabeth. And it was a taller task.
"Absolutely not, Moses! Douglas cheated on me too, you know, and now you have the gall to want to fuck the same woman he's fucking?" Elizabeth stared him down angrily. Moses reached out to hold her hand.
"Look at it this way. We've got Emily and Aaron and Katie. And we've got little Samson growing in your belly. Three kids, white husband, white wife. And I'll love our mixed baby to death. But I'll always wonder about what my son or daughter would look like ... black man, black woman. I ain't going to love the bitch, I love you. And I ain't raising the baby with the bitch, she's a surrogate." Elizabeth was wavering, but just a little.
"How about this," Moses said. "If I don't do it, peckerwood is going to. Why don't we make sure that little peckerwood never fathers another child again? Why don't we make sure he's forced to raise only black babies, without a single cell of his DNA in them." That was the winning tactic, he saw. A woman scorned is a dangerous thing.
