One of their mommies walks in

The woman who entered was built like a model. Kristen Weaver was tall and curvy in all the right places with a flowing mane of thick, blonde hair to top it all off. It was enough to make Sam, with her boyish figure, feel deeply envious. Well, except...

Kristen was wearing nothing but an oversized t-shirt that hung loosely off of her shoulders and her underwear. Except instead of regular underwear, she was wearing a diaper. It looked just like the one Sam was wearing: A thick, colorful, overnight diaper, but a dry one.

"Mommy!" Cassidy giggled, pointing at Kristen. Her other hand nudged Sam as if gesturing at her to look. "Did Momma put you in our diapers again?"

"Good morning, Cass," cooed Kristen, coolly sidestepping the question as she leaned on the side of the crib's railing. "And you too, Sammy. How are my two favorite baby-girls doing this morning?"

"We're doing great, Mom," Cassidy answered, tilting her head, "Sammy's still a little gun-shy, though." She leaned towards Kristen a little conspiratorially, whispering (loudly enough for Sam to hear), "A little wet, too."

Sam blushed, leaning further into Cassidy's embrace, the feeling of her wet diaper doing little to ease her embarrassment. Kristen, Cassidy, and Maja were all good people, but being treated like a baby girl by people barely a few years her senior (Sam hadn't dwelled on it much, but she was pretty sure Cassidy was the oldest one in the house, at least chronologically) was still deeply strange no matter how she tried to cut it.

As if noticing her discomfort, Cassidy went back to rubbing circles on her belly. Kirsten unlatched the crib, letting one of the raised wooden sides fall as she sat beside them with a crinkle.

"Oh, she's wet, is she?" Kristen tilted her head, a coy smile on her face. "What about you, Cass, how wet are you?"

"Uhmm..." Cassidy blushed, shoving her pacifier back in. "I dun'no, Mom," she mumbled around her pacifier, "I dwon't reawwy know anymowe, whewn I'm awleep."

"Is that right, Cass? You don't know if you've wet the bed?"

"Uh-huh." Sam could feel Cassidy's head bobbing up and down behind her.

"Well, good thing we put you in diapers then, isn't it?" Kristen brushed aside hair from Cassidy's face, leaning over to press a kiss to her forehead. "What about you, Sammy?"

House-Rule #2: Babies always need to wear protection.

"Huh?" Sam was feeling very self-conscious in a crib, in a diaper, with two women who were also wearing diapers.

"How wet do you think Cassy is?" Kristen asked teasingly, gesturing behind her at her foster sister.

"Uh... I-I don't know?" Sam shrugged, wiggling out of Cassidy's embrace to glance at the bottom of her onesie. "I think she's pretty wet?"

"Well," Kristen beamed at them. "Let's have a look at her, then."

A 'look' meant opening up the onesie, exposing Cassidy's very wet diaper. The girly pink was almost wholly discolored by yellow, the diaper sagging outwards as if it was attempting to get away from the woman (baby?) who wet it. The eggs on the front have cracked and broken; in their place now stood an adorable, Easter-colored nest of baby chicks.

"Wow, some one is one soggy girl, isn't she?" Kristen cooed. "We'll change you in a moment. Now you, Sammy." In a single smooth motion, Kristen pulled off Sam's shorts and stuck two fingers in her diapers leg-band. The eggs on the front of her diaper hadn't hatched, but they had cracked. "Hmm, wet, but not soaked," Kristen declared, "But, I'll let you decide Sammy, do you want a change now, with Cass? I know Cass likes to stay in her wet diapers, doesn't she?"

"Mhm-hmm," Cassidy nodded enthusiastically.
