Not what you expected

Emma smiled when she saw the girl from before but she just pressed herself more into your arm and leaned her head on your shoulder, not the reaction you would have gotten out of her if it had been before your visit to the mall.

“After everything we’ve done today, you’ve more than shown that you're open to adding new people and I think you were at least partly right. Focusing on the main group was your main concern but I still think there's times where we can add some people and just see how it goes. Now if you ask me again tomorrow after the rush of today is over, I might change my mind” she teased before looking a bit more serious.

“I’m not saying this to make you agree with my every decision either. Sure it made me happy as it comes from my main kink and my desires but there will definitely be times where I’m wrong and you should do what you think is best.” Emma added, the more rational part of her knowing this weekend had let you take a few liberties that you might not be able to have back home.

The girl from yesterday turned from the front desk to walk away and with Emma’s reassurance, you made no move to attempt anything that could get her added to the KDK.

At this point, Grace motioned the two of you over after her initial talk with the front staff for the restaurant and you were led to a booth towards the back that was quiet enough for your liking. It seemed like the dinner rush was coming to an end and you would be one of the last to get let in to eat based on the amount of empty tables around your area.

With the way the booth was laid out, the C shape of the seating let you sit between both Grace and Emma without having to choose a side, you could have had more room but they sat down pretty close next to you while the waitress stood with a smile.

Your menus were given as you each ordered a drink, seeing Grace go for a glass of wine while you and Emma went for a soft drink. The waitress left to get your drinks while you decided on your food but once you had figured that out, you now wondered which direction the conversation was going to head.

“So, while we’re in public and we have to keep our hands off of each other, do you want to talk about your father or are we skipping over that until tomorrow?” Grace asked, jumping right into the heart of the issue.

You had hoped for a lighter topic but she was right in that you couldn’t do anything too crazy while you were here and after having just cum less than 30 minutes ago, you felt equipped to have this conversation for the first time in a while.

“There isn’t much to say to be honest but I still think there's a lot to process. Izzy exists and from what I can tell she isn’t his biggest fan either. And then the fact that Izzy has Jack there and that I have a half-brother is a whole other dilemma that I didn’t think I’d have to worry about either” You replied, not having expected that when you had been first planning on making the trip here.

“And what about Izzy? Are you planning on keeping in contact after tomorrow even if she doesn’t want to help or do you have other ideas?” Grace asked, looking keen to hear your answer as she leaned forward and rested her chin on her hands.

It didn’t feel like Grace was gonna criticise whatever your decision would be but there was a hint of tension that you felt that made you carefully consider your words.

“Even if she doesn’t want to give us the extra information, I think I’ll want to help her no matter what. She seemed nice and while I don’t have the funds to support them in any way financially, I’m more than willing to provide anything I can give them” you stated, now nervously waiting for Grace’s reply.

“...Good!” she replied, a smile reappearing on her face and she returned to her more casual posture.

The lean forward had felt like she was putting on a bit of an act for herself but you were curious as to what she thought.

“And what answer wouldn’t you have liked?” you asked, trying to figure out her reasoning.

“Well if you wanted to only give them support after you got what you wanted, I think then that would have raised some alarms for me. Leaving them both only with or without the information also wouldn’t be the best situation but I still don’t think you would have been in the wrong. You’re only 18 so I don’t expect you to look after every person you have a connection with. The fact that you want to help her however shows me you have the right mindset for this multiple partners thing you two have going on” Grace explained, letting you know you stumbled onto the best option for her.

“Oh good. I thought maybe you might have been against me helping them when Izzy is technically the mistress in this situation” you added, knowing what had happened in the past with Grace’s husband.

“If Izzy had known for sure that he was married then maybe not but I don’t think she’s got any blame in this situation. You might have a harder time explaining it to Mary though. I wouldn’t have been in the right state of mind at the time to help out the woman who my partner cheated with and if Mary somehow sees you with her and thinks she is being replaced by ‘a younger version of herself’ then you’ll need to do some serious convincing” Grace responded, using air quotes to describe Izzy as younger.

Your eyes went wide and Grace noticed your reaction when what she said hit you like a tonne of bricks. You had never even thought about it like that and that sort of reaction from Mom had been the furthest from your mind. Sure the KDK might help smooth her reaction down but if your plan was to solely rely on the KDK to manage people's feelings then you were absolutely going about it the wrong way.

Your next thought got even worse when you imagined Lucy’s opinion on all this, having her being a lot more verbal on anything she disagreed with.

“...I think you’ve made him imagine the worst case scenario here” Emma commented after a minute of you getting stuck in your head.

The waitress from earlier reappeared to take your food orders at what felt like the worst time but it did help drag you out of your thoughts while you tried to remember what you had picked out. Your drinks then got placed in front of you before she left once again and you could see that Grace wanted to speak again after her reveal.
