Chapter 4

English much?
Yes much English
A flooring performance by the lovely Ms. Ryan this morning! It’s a good thing it’s totally normal and appropriate to stare at your teacher like you’ve lost yourself. As Watson sat down his eyes are glued to her, as they are every morning. It’s more so the way she walks and carries herself than anything. She’s not wearing anything so special, she’s sure to be aware of who she’s standing in front of. A loose but fitting grey hoodie zipped halfway to expose a tight fitting work out shirt. Jeans and sneakers round off an unremarkable outfit, but her confidence and poise are unmatched.
Taylor sits behind Watson today, perhaps a budding friendship. Watsons begins to fill out the trip form as Ms. Ryan walks around the room handing out assignments.
“Ah, Mr. Lowood—behind on some paperwork.” She said looking down at him. Luckly Watson had proved himself to her over the first few weeks of school, so if he’s on his phone for a minute or doing other homework she lets it slide.
“Oh yeah, sorry Ms. Ryan, I had forgotten about it.”
“I’m going on that trip as well, my first time! I don’t know what I did to get into Tranch’s good graces but—I’m a happy girl.”
“You don’t care spending a weekend with children?” Asked Taylor from behind me, overhearing the conversation.
Ms. Ryan giggled. “Not at all Taylor! Ya’ll are actually quite fun. And some are more childish than other.” She grinned at the two of them and kept walking around.
“Well, I don’t know about you, but I’m for sure the fun one out of the two of us.” Taylor jabbed at him. He was surprised at how good a sport she was, and how personable she seemed. Maybe like Cary she’s all smoke and no fire.
He smiled back at her, unsure of what to say, and a little flustered he returned to his paperwork. After class they walked out together again. “Taylor is it okay if I get your number from Cary? Ya know if I’m just dying to ask you about the—homework, or something like that.”
“Here I’ll just give it to you now.” Taylors open hand reached out and hung in the air, her longing genderless blue eyes staring up at him. Watson opened his phone and handed it to her.
“There ya go. If were talking about homework I’m only gonna start mine when you’ve finished yours.” She smirked and walked away, her baggy pants dragging along the apoxy floors. Watson looked at his phone, [dumb idiot] was the name of the new contact.
