It gets worse

The video shows Skylar and Sabrina paused, still on the couch, picking up where it left off. It quickly rewinds Sabrina and Skylar’s conversation, then stops and plays normally again with the audio repeating Sabrina’s line from before.

“He’s kind of hot…” It repeats again and again like an echo, “... kind of hot… hot… hot…”

Suddenly, heartthrob music picks up in the background as glamor shots of you flash on the screen like snapshots on a photoshoot. Clips play out of you from the videos as the vanity music continues to strum along in the background. The video slows down to half speed as you slowly turn your head and stare off at something out of view. It then jumps to a naked shot of you from the back as you’re walking away. It zooms into your butt and quickly bumps it up in scale to the beats of the song. .

“Oh my God… this vid suddenly got cringe…” Chelsea announces with a soft gasp.

“You sent this to Sabrina?” Skylar reminds you.

“Oh God…” you utter, wanting to shut it off, but forcing yourself to watch it to the end to see how bad it gets.

Thankfully the self aggrandizing portion comes to an end and the scene moves on to clips of Sabrina. This doesn’t put you at ease though as a romantic song starts to play.

“This is like watching a fever dream… “ Skylar shakes her head in astonishment.

The imagery starts off innocent with Sabrina smiling to the camera and in mid conversation with others. There are more candid shots of her just standing around or sitting, also very innocent looking, despite the fact that most of the captured video is of her completely nude.

You feel a sudden drop in your stomach as the video goes to shots of you and Sabrina together. The music starts to well up as the two of you face each other and stare longingly into each other’s eyes. You even have digital hearts pop up from your eyes.

“Oh groan…” Skylar chuckles.

“Where did you find the time to do all this?!” Chelsea asks in disbelief.

You can only hold your head in your hand and peek between your fingers as you watch the music video play out. In the video you are passionately making out as you thrust into one of the other girls, but it is edited in a way that it looks like it’s just the two of you. As the song ends, the next scene shows Sabrina at the end of the night, staring into the camera with a gentle smile. She mouths the words, “Goodnight” and the screen fades to black.

Finally, the video ends. You all stare dumbfounded at the black screen.

“Wow.” Chelsea says, breaking the awkward silence.

“That is a lot to unpack…” Skylar adds.

“Uh huh…” you nod slowly.

“Did you really send that to her?” Skylar asks, just to make sure.

“Uh huh…” you reply solemnly.

“Wow…” she concludes.

“Uh huh…” you reply, dejected.

“Well… maybe she’ll take it in a good way?” Chelsea suggests.

“Despite the content, drunk John is a pretty good editor,” Skylar points out. Chelsea nods in agreement. “You can explain that you were really really drunk at the time…” Skylar offers.

“Maybe she didn’t watch it the whole way through…” Chelsea suggests optimistically.

“I’m sure she won’t take it too badly…” Skylar consoles.

You let out a defeated sigh.

“So… what are you going to do about it?” Skylar asks. They both await your answer with bated breath. This has turned into a TV drama for them.
