The Office Nudist

It was a matter of seconds between Mel arriving for work naked and being challenged on her nudity. Steve, the burly but friendly middle aged security guard came rushing over looking a strange mixture of shocked, apologetic, concerned and aroused.

"Woah! Mel, what is going on?" he asked as he approached "What happened to your clothes? You know I can't let you in like that!"

"It's okay, Steve. You can check with Malcolm" Melanie stated calmly. She had decided not to use her safety phrase unless she absolutely had to. It seemed to her like a form of mind control she was uncomfortable with. But seeing as she had already used it on her boss in a panic when she had ran into him earlier that day she may as well make the most of the situation.

"Hi Malcolm, I've got Melanie Jones here. She's um..." Steve was struggling for what to say as he spoke over the phone "She isn't wearing anything. She said that is okay with you?" There was a brief pause and Steve looked astonished "Really? Well, fine. I'll send her up then."

Steve returned to Melanie with a smile "I'm sorry for holding you up Mel, I just had to check."

"No problem" Melanie smiled. She could feel Steve's eyes staring at her butt as she walked to the lift. She pressed the button to go up and waited as a couple of others joined her in queuing for the lift; a middle aged woman who was a manager from another Department and a young guy from the post room who had on headphones. As the lift doors opened the three of them stepped in together.

Of all the reactions to her nudity the one that amused Melanie most was when people pretended they hadn't noticed. The older woman, her cheeks looking flush and somehow embarrassed despite Melanie being the one who was naked, stared straight ahead of her refusing to even acknowledge that she was sharing a lift with a naked woman. The young guy took a very different approach, shamelessly gawping at Melanie's body until she made eye contact. At that point he would reluctantly look away before going back to staring in awe again the moment her head was turned.

Melanie stepped out of the lift and arrived at the entrance to her office where she knew all of her close colleagues would be sat. A little part of her was actually excited to see their reaction to her nakedness, though a larger part was terrified. Either way, if she was going to pull this off she was going to have to do it with confidence.

As she walked through the door the room quickly fell silent, save for one or two gasps. Everyone was staring in unison, completely apologetically, at Melanie's naked body. She'd had an anxiety dream very much like this once. Scanning the room she could see that just about everyone was in attendance today. Almost all of her colleagues now knew what she looked like underneath her clothes and that feeling was almost liberating.

"Hi, everyone!" Melanie smiled as if nothing was amiss as she took a seat and booted up her laptop. She was aware that literally everyone in the room was still staring at her, as if waiting for an explanation. They were about to get one, of sorts as Malcolm entered the open plan and cleared his throat loudly to **** people's attention onto him instead. It seemed he had an announcement to make.

"As many of you will have no doubt noticed, Mel is naked" he began, stating the obvious "That is her right and choice and I completely support it. I would remind you all that we must respect and tolerate the lifestyle decisions of our co-workers and none of you should treat Mel any differently than if she were clothed. It should also go without saying that Mel's nudity is not an invitation for sexual harassment. If anyone has a problem with that, come and see me. If not, I suggest you get on with your work as normal."

And with that the staring stopped and people hurriedly got back to what they were doing. As she started to work through the emails she had received during her day and a bit off it started to feel very much like a normal day at work for Melanie. She just happened to be naked.
