Van Helsing uncrosses her arms and walks closer, her chest swaying as she does. By her feet, she crouches to meet my terrified eyes, showing little empathy behind her shadowed face.

"There's only one thing a vampire hunter should do..."

Pulling her hand up, she snaps her fingers. With it, I can feel my heart beating faster along with the shuffling of Anna on top of me. As time returns, I listen for her advice before she fades from my view.
