Slow Start

The first few hands went by as expected with both parties trying to get a read on each other. Chits were exchanged both ways and after 6 hands, Anna was sitting pretty at 21 chits to Maz's 41. In a normal game this would put some pressure on Maz but knowing that neither party could just back out lowered the pressure and Maz's laid back posture showed she wasn't worried about a few chits

Over the hands they had played, she thought she had a good idea of Maz's tell. She kept one hand in her lap and tended to clench and unclench her hand when she was bluffing. That would have been impossible to tell by itself except her stiff fingers cracked under the table. With a relatively quiet corner, she could hear her hand crack as she placed another 3 chits down. Now the question was whether it was a setup. Good card players would often set up fake tells or be aware of their tells and use that to their advantage. It was subtle enough to be real, but Maz was a decent player. As Maz stared at her expectantly, she weighed the options. She could go all in on this and end it here and now, or play it safe and bide her time.
