Ethan stares at the phone for a long moment.
H: Okay. I can do that.
“Well.” Layla sighs, leaning back on the couch, Ethan turning to face her. “I think I’d better call it an evening.”
Ethan stuffs away his phone, realizing he’d been neglecting Layla for Heather. “No, No it’s-”
“It’s quite alright, Ethan,” She pulls herself off the couch, flatting out her skirt as she stands. “Don’t worry about hurting my feelings, I’m a big girl. You obviously are in the middle of something, and it might be best to work it out. Between just the two of you.”
Blinking, Ethan thinks over what she said. “Okay…”
