Read the other letter.

Niki gets up and stretches her arms far above her head. "Well, what now?" she asks. "How about we get something to eat?"

Eva licks her lips. "I like that idea."

You withdraw the letter given to you by Ealdorman. "First I wanna take a look at this," you say. It's rather thick, and you can see why once you tear it open. It seems that instead of a number of papers inside, it's one folded up multiple times, and there's writing right on the front.

Niki strolls over and leans forward in an attempt to see. She places her forehead against yours, though seems to be struggling to read it upside down. "What's it say?" she asks.

"Meet with me, Kyle, but come alone. If you don't trust me, then simply disregard this message. Otherwise, a portal to your destination is included inside. Be careful, as this was very expensive to make. Was it necessary? Maybe! Either way, I should provide some sort of motivation for you to come then, because this sound sound rather sketchy. How about this: Yellow Submarine. What could it mean? You'll have to come and find out... and then it's signed Ealdorman."

"What's a submarine?" Niki stands back up straight. "Is that like someone who's submissive?"

"No. It's a thing from Earth," you reply. "A vehicle used to travel underwater. But that's the name of a Beatles song too."

"What kind of beetle?" Eva asks.

"All right. Earth stuff really makes this confusing, doesn't it? They're a band from the 60s."

"It would not surprise me if such an old, wise member of the Circle knew more of Isekai Theory," Amara comments. "But should you truly go alone?"

You look over the thick, folded sheet of paper. "I can always Bunny Hop away I guess, and this would be a really weird way to set a trap. I don't know why he'd want to kill me anyway. I should at least check it out, especially if he knows more about Isekai Theory, like you said."

"Be careful," Eva says as she holds your arm.

"I will. Don't worry." With a nod, you stand and peek at the rest of the page. It looks like it's covered in complex magic symbols. As soon as you start to unfold it, more than gravity starts pulling down as the rest starts to rapidly unfurl to the ground. Not only does it unravel, but it does so in circle around the pathway in front of you until a perfect circle is formed--the symbols lining up like a transmutation circle from Fullmetal Alchemist. Then lastly, the area in the center goes as black as the darkest night.

"Woah!" Niki stumbles back. "Magic is weird."

"I'll say." You take a knee beside the portal. Very slowly, you move your hand towards it.

Before you can touch it, the dark void shifts into a window that leads to a room. But from what you can tell, you're looking at a ceiling. It's a little disorienting, but you put it together that you're staring up through a similar portal placed on a floor elsewhere.

Then a man appears. It's a familiar man. Up a grey robe and long, bushy beard, Ealdorman's eyes stare down through the portal right back at you. "There you are. I was wondering when you'd come," he says. "Come. I wish to show you some things," he says with a hand outstretched.

Amara looks down at the man. "Y-You best bring him back unhurt, or we will--" Unsure of what to say after that, she just shakes her head.

Niki pats her on the back. "Damn straight, Amara. That's right. We'll come kick your ass."

Ealdorman raises his brow. "Ah! Such kind and terrifying friends. Relax. I'm not here to hurt any of you."

You sigh and nod. "I'll be back soon, everyone. It's time for another weird adventure. This time, it's just on my own." With that, you reach your hand through the portal, grab onto his, and you're yoinked right through.
