Subtle changes

As far as Dennis knew, he could change anything about this dream. That made it tempting to just do something dramatic, but he wanted to mess with Lauren more subtly. He was curious how she'd react if everyone wasn't just fawning over her and commenting on her beauty? So, focusing, he decided to change the attitude of these false people in Lauren's dream.

While he was watching, someone walked up to Lauren. It was Mike, head of the football team. He approached Lauren looking eager.

"Hey Lauren! I was wondering if you want to go out with me Saturday!" He asked.

"Wait, what?" Dennis, Lauren and Mike all turned to see Charlotte walking up angrily.

"Mike, you asked me out Saturday!" Charlotte whined.

"Well yeah, but I mean... it's Lauren..."

"What, just because she's hotter than me you're asking her out instead?!" Charlotte asked, shocked.

"That's right Charlotte." Lauren said haughtily. "Mike's decided to trade up, and who could blame him?"

Dennis rolled her eyes. Lauren's dreams were like a bad soap opera, all designed to pad her ego! Well, he had to change that...
