Seeing Red

Supergirl flew off to the Metropolis Museum to thwart a robbery. It was going the way things usually go. Fly in and scare the robbers. They shoot at her in a panic (why they always forget she’s bulletproof, Kara didn’t know). Then she uses her super speed to tie up all the crooks until the police arrive.

Just as Kara was about to leave, she heard glass shattering on the museum’s second floor. “I can’t believe I missed one.” Kara said to herself as she flew upstairs.

On the second floor, Kara spotted a robber with a sack filled of stolen artifacts. She approached the robber, who of course started to panic.

“St-stay back! I have a shitload of stuff in this bag that I’m not afraid to use.” The quivering thief said as he rummaged through the aforementioned bag.

As Kara was about to apprehend the thief, she hesitated as her noticed a red glow illuminating for the bag. Kara tried to warn the robber. “Wait! Don’t!” But it was too late. The robber pulled a shiny red rock out of his bag. RED KRYPTONITE!

The effects of red kryptonite on Kryptonians was unpredictable. It could split her into two different people, turn her into a dragon, or make her unable to speak or write anything but Kryptonese. (Yes these have all happened). But there was nothing Kara could do now as the exposure to Red K began to effect her…
