"Sorry, but no. Like I said, Maybe another time." You tell them as you manage to free yourself out of Ruby's embrace. Ruby and Helen both close in on you again like a pack of animals hunting prey until you hear a familiar voice.

"There ya are John! What's taking ya so long?" You turn and see Abby walk up to you with two books in hand. As she does, she looks behind you and notices Helen and Ruby.

"Who's yer new friends John?" Abby asks as she turns to you.

"Oh this is Helen, and that's Ruby. We were just introducing ourselves to each other." You answer as you gesture to each of them as you mention their names.

"Well nice ta meet the two of ya. But we got others waitin' awn us. Come on John, let's go." Abby says as she grabs your hand and drags you along with her. You look back to Helen and Ruby and see them glare at Abby. They then turn around and went the other way. You turn back to Abby as she lets go of your hand.

"Thanks Abby. I don't know what else I could've done to get away from those two." You thank her. Abby turns her head towards you with a smile and a wink.

"Ain't no problem hun." She says and turns her head back. Both of you walk to the center lobby of the library where a bunch of tables are placed. You see Olivia, Suzy, and Veronica sitting together at one. At another table, you see the witch with the gecko girl sitting together. Next to that table, you see Ava sitting with the hipster girl, Stacy and the business woman she hangs out with. That might be her roommate. At the far back table you see Helen and Ruby sitting together, they look your way, smiling with a hint of menace and lust. You immediately look back to your groups table and continue your route to the others. Olivia is the first to notice you as you approach.

"There you are John. What took you so long?" Olivia asked, a bit of concern in her voice. You sit down next to her.

"I ran into some of the other students in our class. They were uh... very 'friendly' to me" You tell her.

"It looked like they were gettin' a little frisky with ya. You'd probably would've caved in and went with 'em if ah hadn't showed up." Abby says. This causes Olivia to perk up.

"I knew I should have stopped you from going on your own. Even in safe places like the library, you're still a big target John. You can't get controlled in here, but nothings gonna stop any girl from seducing you. Don't take this the wrong way, but you're not that difficult to sway." Olivia gives you an earful.

You wanted to argue back, but you know she's only trying to help you. It doesn't help that she's got a point. You were close to being putty in Helen's and Ruby's hands(and you didn't mind that idea at all), so who knows what else could've happened to you. You decide to swallow your pride on this.

"I'm sorry for making you worry Olivia. I'm trying my best here." You try to reassure her. Olivia just hums.

"Lets just get to reading." Olivia says. Everyone at the table agrees as books start to open. You feel a little bit down as you start to read your hypnosis book. Maybe you can make it up to her somehow.

Over the next few minutes it was quiet as the whole group started to read their books. You finished reading your hypnosis book and started on your magic book. You look around and see what everyone else is reading. Olivia is reading a book about chi called 'The power of the Palm: Martial Arts Across the Multiverse'. Abby and Veronica are still reading their hypnosis books, its the same one you had. Suzy is reading a book called 'Your Mind Over their Matter: A Beginner's guide to psionics'.

You open your magic book and began on the first chapter. It states that the arcane is the building blocks for many schools of magic and learning the basics of the arcane will open many doorways for any up and coming mage or witch. The second chapter went over mana and how it works. From what you read, mana is stored in many sentient beings, but only the gifted are able to wield it's power, hopefully, you can too. There is a limited amount of mana in every being also known as a 'pool of mana' that can go dry when using spells too often. There are many ways to restore this mana, such as resting to naturally restore mana, drinking a mana potion, or eating a mana infused meal.

You then get into the third chapter that teaches you a useful spell called 'Arcane blast'. According to the book, its a spell that fires a bolt of arcane magic at your target. You make sure to get every detail down on this spell, as it will come in handy for later. You then finish up the chapter and look up at the table. Veronica and Abby are comparing notes from class and Suzy and Olivia were talking to each other and then looked to you. They both have a smile on their faces.

"What did I miss?" You ask Olivia.

"Well Suzy and I decided on a deal for letting her in our room, but I'd like your input on it." Olivia responds. You nod and gesture her to continue.

"So she will be allowed to stay in our room for as long as she wants, but she must be under our control at all times. We'll release her from our control at the end of the year if she wants to. What do you think?" Olivia proposes. This might be the best option for now. Hopefully this won't cause problems later.

"Sure, that'll work. Are you ok about this Suzy?" You lean over to ask her. Suzy nods, a big smile spreads on her face. Does this girl ever get tired of smiling?

"Yes, I don't mind if its someone I can trust. So right now, that's you two, and them too." Suzy says and then gestures to Abby and Veronica.

"Alright then. Have it your way." You say, satisfied with that answer. You wonder if you both have to report her separately. You'll worry about it later.

"So what did you learn in your magic book?" Suzy asks as she points to your book.

"Oh I just learned about how my mana works and a spell." You answer. This causes Suzy to move from her seat to your side.

"OOOH that's cool! Can we see it?" Suzy excitedly asks. Before you can answer, you hear a 'ahem' behind you. This causes you and Suzy to jump a little. You turn your head and see Ms. Springs with a stern frown on her face. She does not seem happy.

"There will be no magic casting in the library. It more difficult to clean mana stains off of wood, so refrain from casting any kinds of spells in here please." She tells you in a stern tone, leaning forward towards you. Sitting down gives you a great view of her cleavage, but you try to look at her face the whole time she's talking to you.

"Ok Ms. Springs. I wasn't going to. Sorry for making you worry." You apologize to her anyway to be safe. This does change her mood as she smiles, still bending forward.

"Its alright Mr. Doe. If you do want to practice any techniques or spells that you learn in class or in here, you are alllowed to do so in the gym. Not only does it have a fitness area, but a shooting range for any weaponry or magics you have." She informs you as she stands back up straight and walks back to her desk. That gives you an idea.

"Well, since that's an option, how about we head over to the gym and practice a little?" You propose. Abby and Veronica turn to you as you ask.

"Well I guess it couldn't hurt to go to the gym, but we have some important matters to attend to back at our room John. We need to take care of it sooner rather than later." Olivia says. Suzy nods to her and you know what she's talking about. You do need to hypnotize Suzy for her to stay in your room.
