Sarah's New life

Sarah woke with a start. Her body sat up against the headboard of a bed. The intense buzzing in her head had stopped but Sarah still sat straight up with her chest heaving. Looking around wildly her eyes settled on Valerie. "Welcome back Sarah. Don't you feel so refeshed?" Valerie said with a casual tone. Sarah, perturbed and unwilling to speak, nodded slowly. "Good, that's very good. I'm glad I could make you feel that way. The coming days are going to be very tiring for you. In fact, I bet you can feel that exhaustion settling into you right now." Sarah's expression showed her confusion and sudden fatigue as her body suddenly felt like a lump of lead. "What? Why. . . ?" Sarah groaned. "Hush my dear. Relax into the feeling. Your body, so heavy. Your eyelids, so heavy. Your mind, sooo heavy. Let yourself sink into trance for me. Inescapable unending, all consuming trance." Sarah's head lolled back and her eyes rolled up into her skull as her mind collapsed into trance.

Sarah woke with a start. Her body sat up against the headboard of a bed. "Sleep." She heard Valerie's voice say and down she sank again, even faster than before.

Sarah woke with a start. Her body sat up against the headboard of a bed. "Sleep." Then nothing.

Sarah woke slowly. Her eys opening calmly before a word she barely heard sent her mind into oblivion and her eyelids slammed shut.

Sarah woke, but no thought followed.
