A fast food place

...McDarnold's, a major fast food burger chain.

Now, Kittie is well aware she's above this kind of work. This is the type of job that only losers, dropouts, and weirdos worked, or so Kittie believed. This wasn't the place for a sophisticated, artistic young woman of her caliber. But unfortunately, **** for a job and with McDarnold's being the only place that had bothered to call her back, Kittie would have to settle for what she could get today.

As she opens the swinging glass door, the busty goth is overwhelmed, blasted with the smell of greasy fries and burgers and the noise of children screaming and playing nearby. To her left is a fairly busy dining room, with a playground far in the back of the store where 3 excited children are currently wreaking havoc in the ball pit.

To the right is the service counter, where two long lines of customers are waiting their turn to annoy one of the cashiers. Kittie hoped she wouldn't have to work up there; she couldn't imagine how embarrassing it would be to have someone recognize her in here.

Not sure where to go or who she needs to talk to to find the hiring manager, Kittie approaches a much older-looking man in a red McDarnold's uniform, in the process of wiping down messy tables.

"Excuse me? Sir?" He looks up, surprised to be interrupted by a customer.

"Oh hello. Do you need something, miss?"

She glares for a moment, a little annoyed at being called "miss" instead of "ma'am", like a little girl.

"Yeah, Roger," she says, reading his name tag. "I'm here for an interview. Can I speak to your hiring manager, please?"

"Sure, gimme a sec and I'll grab him." Roger finishes wiping the table, straightens himself up with a groan, and takes his cleaning gear to the back, leaving Kittie to wait.

Time passes slowly as Kittie tries not to check her phone. As easy as it would surely be to get this job, she knew she needed to be at least a bit professional. After a few minutes of standing around, the goth girl is about to find another employee to go look for the manager, but they finally come out of the back office, giving Kittie a strange, amused look as they reach the front of the store.

Kittie, however, turns a deep red as she suddenly realizes who the hiring manager is at this particular store. This was bad.
