Proxy Fight

The masked men had rushed into Mia's apartment and tied her up and gagged her. Before she knew why they were there or they could do anything else, they froze, then looked outside.

They had left the apartment door open.

"What's going on?!" came a woman's voice from outside.

The men ran off and the woman came in.
She sat on the couch next to Mia and tried to comfort her, practically putting her in her lap.

"There, there. I'll protect you."

What Mia did not know was that this was a set up!

The woman who just happened to be in the right place at the right time was working with the men who bound Mia.
Turns out Mia had been flirting with her boss, and in her past job, she had quit after accusing that boss of sexual harassment.
Her Boss' wife had found out.

The woman who had come in and comforted Mia was the wife's best friend and this whole set up was to teach Mia a lesson.
