The Code of Conduct

When the Dean changed the slide, his expression turned grim, and he faced the class. By now, this man had the code memorized, given how often he had to recite it. He began pacing along the length of the stage, his single seeing eye passing over each student as he spoke.

"To start with, the Code of Conduct is to be upheld at all times. Infractions will lead to reprimand, and the punishment will always fit the crime. Keep in mind that this code binds all of us; students, faculty, and staff alike. All of us signed a legally binding contract when accepting entry into this university, doubly so for those of us who are now in positions of power over you all. Rest assured, the penalty for my coworkers is twice as harsh, to ensure **** of power does not occur."

He clears his throat, and rolls his shoulders back.

"So, to start. Rule number one: Safe, Sane, Consensual. All interactions, especially of a sexual nature, are to follow that standard. If something is not safe, or is not sane, or is not consensual-- worse still, a combination thereof-- it is NOT to occur. It bears repeating: If what you are going to do does not live up to that standard, do not do it. Violating a man's consent, violating his safety, or violating his peace of mind, is grounds for immediate and swift expulsion, from this school, and into the waiting hands of the police.

Moving on... Rule number two covers attendance. The school schedule follows the traditional American pattern; five days a week, seven hours a day. You get three weeks off for winter break, two and a half months for summer, one week for spring break, and all national holidays have four-day weekends. You can miss up to ten days of school per semester without a valid excuse-- namely, medical reasons or family emergencies. Teachers will have their own individual lateness policies, so you will be at their mercy, not mine.

"Third: prohibited and restricted items. Now, to begin with, I know you're all thinking about it: ****. **** is not allowed in the dormitories of any student underage, and there is no exception to that. If you are caught with ****, you will receive a warning. Caught again, and you will be punished." He left it at that, not bothering to explain what he meant, which was quite concerning. "Other restricted items include tobacco-- again, be of legal age, and tobacco products, yes, including vapes, are only to be used outside. Sex toys are allowed, and it is suggested that you keep plenty of lubricant; campus convenience stores always keep lube and condoms on hand. Now, weapons..."

He takes a moment, lets out a sigh, and continues with his explanation of the code. "My personal belief is that I'd have no issues with weapons being kept, but alas, the president and the college board see otherwise. Thus, all personally owned firearms, bows, cross bows, and any bladed tool not meant for use in a kitchen, exempla gratia, daggers, bayonets, swords, hatchets, are all to be kept in the campus armory, located next to the shooting and archery ranges. The only weapons allowed to be kept are folding knives, at a maximum of four inches in edged blade length, and if it is observed they are being used for anything other than as a tool, or for self defense, they will be confiscated and you will more than likely be arrested. And no, fixed blades may not be carried, which... Doesn't make sense, but I don't make the rules."

Quick, concise, to the point, that was Doctor Taylor.

"And in case you were wondering, students, yes, you may use your weapons at the appropriately designated places. That's why they're there."

He then points to the very last rule on the code, but it is larger and more pronounced than all the rest. "Lastly, class... You are not officially an alpha, or an omega, until you have graduated from this university. You are thus not bound by the laws of the land the way that Alphas and Omegas are. That said, it is encouraged you show officially recognized Alphas the respect they are due. Many of your instructors are Alpha males, with very few exceptions. Likewise with campus police. Keep that in mind. Now, without any further ado, I'd like you all to remain seated. You will be called in groups of four, to be taken to individual rooms, where you will be given the Entrance Exam."

The Dean walked off the stage, and then a slightly taller, but lankier man with salt-and-pepper hair and glasses, wearing a white lab coat, stepped up and took the microphone, reading from a clipboard. "Ahem, right... Thank you, Doctor Taylor. Students, when I call your name, please come up to the stage, where one of my associate doctors will bring you to your examination room."
