Chapter 4
by Starlight_Lewdstar
Now, what's your first destination?
The adventurer's guild, of course!(m)
Well, where else would you go other than the adventurer's guild?
It's still early in the day, so everything else can wait, right? Surely it's best to get the formalities out of the way early so you can become an official adventurer as soon as possible!
But... where exactly would it be?{if Dalli's Advice = true} Dalli might have said something about it, but you didn't catch all of it.{endif} From what you know, the "adventurer's guild" is more of an umbrella term and there are several individual guilds. Adventurers get universally ranked, and different guilds handle different ranks. The most famous guild is the Opolous guild, and that's what you'd love to join, but unfortunately, you don't have a recommendation from anyone who counts, so you have to start as an F rank at a smaller guild.
You walk through the streets while thinking, and you see all sorts of things around you, street stalls like you'd see at festivals back home, just littering the place, stores of all kinds, with weapons, armour, clothes, prettier clothes, food, and all of the price tags made you raise an eyebrow. Thinking back to the prices back home, it looks like there's a "capital town tax" on everything, a bit more than you thought.
The fantastic smell of street food tickles your stomach and decide to have an early breakfast right there while you're still thinking over the options you picked out a while ago. You spent 7 crowns on breakfast.
Information on smaller guilds doesn't travel far, most people only care about stories of C rank adventurers and up, so the only ones you know of were recommended by some of your friends and acquaintances.
There's the Mayfield's Folly guild, a small guild focused on magic, led by one of your former teachers, a calm woman about 30 who you low-key had a bit of a crush on.
And there's the Osward's Reach guild, a small all-rounder guild that's been around for ages. Your father used to be a part of the guild well over a decade ago and you remember him talking fondly about it.
You don't know where either of those are, but surely you can ask around and find them.
Which one should you look into, though? What would be the better fit?
{if Dalli's Advice = true}From what you remember of Dalli's advice, there's an information guild nearby that would be useful. And the markets are always a great place to ask around since every guild would likely need to interact with it. Though, she did say something about some prankster mages who hang around the alleys near here. It's a bit worrying, but you've dealt with prankster mages back at the academy so you'll probably be alright. {endif}
What's your next step?

A far flung Adventure
A fantasy filled romp in a fantasy world
In the world of Einkar, a fantasy world divided into floating continents connected to a dangerous surface via ancient towers, you are a beginner female adventure (age 20) who just arrived in the large city of Kynsworth, the so-called adventure capital of the Kainswar kingdom. (You'll be able to pick what your rough background was, which will affect how your character talks and what options and abilities they have! It's my first story, so I'm not certain how to deal with having both genders, I'll look into it.)
