Meeting with your partner- relationship dynamics

As the day has gone on you keep discovering things but realizing that you already knew them. For example you were thinking about your dad and realized that him and your mom were never “married” in this reality because that is only a thing nonchristian super religious people do and it almost never happens in the US where you live. Instead they were “exclusive romantic partner” ERP (pronounced ee arr pee) as in “this is my ERP” though even that was kind of rare, most people just have RCs romantic companions and usually more than a few at any one time coming and going as they please. Though almost everyone has a “partner” who is your best friend who sticks with you and some stick with one romantic relationship which would be an ERC. Your parents being both romantically involved and considering each other lifelong friends was super rare and made his **** all the more tragic.

Though all of that is to say, you actually have a partner. Alex Burger, who was your best friend in the other world but here apparently is even closer to you and sleeps at your house nearly every day. When you get back from practice he is already there, flirting with Erika. Your memories of him doing this in the previous reality always ended with her hitting him, usually in the balls, but now he seems to be doing fine. She smiles and laughs as he does a little monkey dance for her before she playfully bops him on the head with a careful chop and he puts on an exaggerated **** scene.

You sneak up and crouch over him hushing your sister so she doesn’t warn him as you loudly announce “Sup Ape?” causing him to sit up abruptly and slam his face into your ass causing you both to tumble to the ground laughing.
