Party preparation and costume decision

The next morning, Katie woke up and stretched. Immediately, she remembered Mark giving her go ahead to arrange her party. Getting up and quickly moving into the kitchen to make a cup of tea. While she waited for the kettle to boil, she busied herself looking for a pen and some paper to write a list of things she needed to get for her upcoming bash. "Damn it. I know I have pen around here somewhere." She went to the kitchen to make her cup and spotted the pen she hunted for. "Ah, there you are. I washed my uniform and left it there." Tea made, pen and paper to hand, she went ahead and started making her list. Over half an hour had gone by and Katie had only finished deciding what food and nibbles to buy in. She hadn't started on the **** yet. "Ok, That's a start. I think I might have to ask people to bring their own drinks. I can't afford to spend out shit loads on booze." Just then, Katie's phoned buzzed. Looking at the screen she noticed that it was Shannon on the other end.

"Hi babe. How's things?" Shannon's usual chirpiness never failed bring a smile to Katie's face.

"Good. Day off today, so I can relax. You?"

"I'm working tonight you lucky fucker." Shannon poked her tongue out at Katie.

"Good job I know you're joking when you're being a bitch."

"Who said I was joking?" Shannon couldn't keep a straight face and beamed. "Alright Katie, you know me to well. So what's happening then. Mark has just messaged everyone that we got Halloween night off and he's closing the place down for one night as you're having party or something."

"I am. And the first invite goes to you."

"You're only saying that cause I phoned you. Bet you've phoned up a couple or more hot guys before I got to you."

Katie feigned innocence. "I have no idea what you're talking about Shannon. I'm too prudish to do such a thing."

"Yeah right Katie. I remember you copping off with that fellow round the back of the restaurant a few weeks back."

"That wasn't me. It was my evil twin." Both had a small laugh. "Joking aside Shannon. Seriously. You are the first person I want to come. You're my best friend. You've always been there for me. Even at school. You kept the bullies away. If it wasn't for you I wouldn't have my job. You comforted me when I found out Jack was fucking someone else behind my back."

"Hey stop. You've been like a little sister to me. And Jack was a fucking prick for cheating on you. If I was batting for the other team, I'd do you."

"We'll leave that there shall we." Trying hard not to laugh and failing. "I've still got some stuff to decide upon. It's beginning to look like everyone is going to have to bring their own drinks. I'm not sure what sort of party to throw though."

"Come on Katie. It's a Halloween bash. Who doesn't dress up on Halloween? You got to go for a fancy dress party."

"Good point. Not sure what I'll get if I do that though. Have to have a look and see what I can find."

"Well if it helps any. There's a great place on Carnaby street. I got a costume from there last year when I had to take my Niece and Nephew trick or treating. Not cheap, but the quality of the costumes means I can wear it again. You might want to check it out."

"Ok. I'll browse for the place and decide from there. Thanks babe. I'll get on it now. I'll see you later. Bye.

"Bye hun. See you at work tomorrow."

They hung up the phone and Katie wasted no time in looking up on google for the shop Shannon mentioned. After a few seconds Katie had found the shop and browsed the catalogue of costumes that could be purchased. "Holy shit. Shannon was right this place ain't cheap." Katie continued to look through the display on her screen. Finally she decided. "Fuck it. I'll go and have a good look in person. Best use the credit card for this."

Within an hour. Katie reached the store and walked in. "Oh my god. This place is a lot bigger than I was expecting." Continuing to walk further into the premises, she walked up and down the displays of various different costumes available. After a short time, Katie eyes caught sight of a sign promoting the new range that had just been acquired. "Hmm. Can't hurt to look." Taking hold of the in store brochure to see what she could find.

"I see you've noticed the new range we have started to sell miss." Startled at the voice behind her. Katie dropped the brochure and held her chest. "Sorry. I didn't mean to startle you."

"No, that's fine. Lost in my own world for a moment." She leant down to pick the brochure up. "Can you tell me a bit more about this new range please."

"Certainly" The shopkeeper replied." I only started selling them about a week or so back. The supplier promised me that would be top quality and cheaper than anything else I have that matched it. Don't ask me what material they use. They said it was classified in order to stop competitors from using it. They make a mixture of all over body suits as well as the usual clothing only options with a few extra add ons for effect. Sadly, I don't have any of the full body suits to display as of yet as they are made to order. Just a blank template for people to try on. My mannequin over there is still waiting to be suited up in one."

"Well, I'm throwing a party on Halloween, so as I'm the host, A full body suit might be a bit too much. So we'll stick with the clothing options."

"Not a problem at all. Some, we do have on display. Still have to order them though, but they can be with you in a couple of days. They're not made to measure, they keep them in stock, so It's just a case of placing the order and it's dispatched you that night. Did you have anything in mind you wanted to get?"

"Yes. I was thinking a sexy witch costume. But apart from the fact it's cheaper in this new range. Is there anything else different between that one and the new one?"

"Yes. That one over there only comes with the dress and the hat. The new range has varying options. You can have the standard dress and hat, or you could make it even more sexier by having it as a skirt and top showing your mid section. Then you have the option of adding some sexy heels too. But the full package comes with all that as well as enough make up to try it on at home a couple of times to refine the look you want and a pair of black contacts lenses. All in all. The full thing is around a £100. If you went for the same as that one over there, the new range will cost £20 cheaper than the older versions."

"Ok. I think I'll risk it. I'll take the new sexy witch costume, with all the add ons. The contacts will look cool I think. Why go at it half hearted."

"This way then please miss." Katie followed the man to his counter and placed her order. It would only take a couple of days to reach her, and she left the shop happy knowing that the party was one step closer to happening.
