Chapter 22 by Harst Harst

What's next?

Lunch with Alex.

When it came lunchtime, Alex showed up at Sarah's desk. For some reason, she looked very imposing standing over her.
"You're taking me to lunch now." Alex blankly stated. She makes you stop work, and the two of them make their way to the parking lot. They hop in Sarah's car, and Alex tells Sarah to take them somewhere they enjoy. Sarahdrives them to a small corner cafe. Along the way, the atmosphere is tense, and Sarah keeps glancing over at Alex, sitting stoically and quietly like she is stoking herself up.

They get out of the car, sit at a table, and are handed menus. When Sarah grabs the menu to pick it up, Alex puts her hand on it and stops Sarah.

"I'm going to pick for you," she says. Sarah is surprised but lets go of the menu and folds her hands on her lap. Alex lefts threw the menu while Sarah watches her. "You know Michael told me some interesting stuff." Alex looked over the top of the menu, gauging Sarah. She fidgeted a little, not liking where the conversation was heading. Alex refocused on the menu. "And how inconsiderate you've been of his needs." Alex's words stung Sarah. They were interrupted by the waiter asking what they wanted to order.

"I'll have a sandwich, and my little friend here will have the salad." Sarah sat quiet through the exchange, allowing Alex to decide everything. When the waiter was done taking their order, Alex turned her focus back onto Sarah.

"Where were we? Oh yes, Michael and I talked about it, and it would be fun if the three of us did something this weekend." As she said that, she leaned forward excitedly, and there was an excitement in her eyes that scared Sarah. "Are you ready to reap what you have sown slut."

Sarah didn't know what had happened, Alex had just usurped the conversation. Alex and Michael had already made plans? Reap what you have sown? Had she tried to manipulate them? Sarah felt herself being flung from the driver seat into the back of the car by Alex with Alex yanking the wheel for herself. The waiter returned with their food and cut Alex short again. He left the food and quickly retreated. Returning to their conversation, Alex said.

"You realize there will be rules when we play just like the other week." Sarah nodded her head. She had expected that. Alex rubbed Sarah's hand.

"Good girl." Sarah blushed but let Alex continue to stroke her hand.

"Do you remember the rules?" Sarah nodded her head again. "And the safeword?"

"Applejack." Sarah murmured.

"Good because from now, these rules are in effect whenever I want it."

"Everywhere?"

"Everywhere."

"Even at work?"

"Even at work, and you are forgetting something." Alex was looking at Sarah meaningfully.

"Miss Alex."

"Good girl." Both shivered a little as she said it. Alex with glee and Sarah with anticipation. Alex looked at her watch.

"Oh, look at the time. We should head back." She looked up at Sarah. "Sarah, you can get the car while I square up the bill." Sarah got up without saying a word while Alex caught the attention of the waiter. Sarah got to her car and pulled up to the cafe entrance. It took a minute before the door opened, and Alex emerged from the cafe. She stopped briefly before opening the back car door and getting inside. Sarah turned around in the driver's seat and looked at Alex.

"What are you looking at? The car doesn't drive itself." Sarah turned back to the steering wheel and pulled out from the curb. "I think I deserve a little treat as I paid for lunch and let you take me out, don't you?" Sarah focused on the road. She knew this was a demonstration from Alex of the extended power shift. On the way back to the office, Alex spent her time on her phone. Sarah wondered what she was doing, but she soon heard a ding from her handbag. She was probably writing the "good news" to Michael.
