Chapter 52 by Chip_Arranger Chip_Arranger

Holy fucking shit, 92 whole points?

Tuesday rolls around

The rest of Monday went by without much important happening. Amy, Evelyn, and you watch some show on the TV. Amy isn't super touchy with you, and Evelyn especially isn't, but neither of them feel really distant. Especially when it came to Evelyn, she definitely was much warmer to you after the talk you two had.

Their parents came home after work, and you all just talked about what you did during the day. You and Amy didn't have to leave anything out this time, since you didn't do anything scandalous. Supper was had, people split off in their various directions for the evening, and then it was nighttime.

Once again, Amy joins you for bedtime, your sleeping situation being very similar to the last night. You fell asleep weirdly easily, not that the day was physically demanding, but just because of everything that happened with Evelyn. I mean, for goodness sakes, your girlfriend's sister kissed you back there. That's not exactly something that happens every day. Neither is receiving the gift of an app that makes people like you faster, but you know.

As you fell asleep with Amy, you wondered what tomorrow was going to bring you, especially when it came to Evelyn. She had definitely shown herself to be a wild card yesterday. She reminded you of Heidi in that way.

Like clockwork, or your body's new clockwork, you woke up around 5 in the morning, as did Amy. The two of you messed around, playing games with each other, you quietly semi-satirically singing Aerosmith, you know, normal things.

Around 6:30, she left your room so that it wouldn't be suspicious when everyone else got up. You took that as your cue to tidy up the room. Your mother had trained you well, and a bed that was made was a lot more comfortable than an unmade one. Plus, it gave you the motivation to do things later in the day. Whether you did...that was still up in the air. You had berated Evelyn for being a procrastinator, but you were one as well occasionally.

Whilst you were tucking the comforter in, Evelyn appeared in your doorway.

"Hey there," you said, a bit started by her sudden appearance.

"Hey..." she responded.

A few seconds of awkward silence followed.

"Can I come in for a second?" she asked, her voice a little shaky.

"Sure, why not?" you answered. Your communication skills were a bit lacking in the mornings.

She came into the room and closed the door behind her.

"So, elephant in the room...what happened yesterday?" you asked, figuring that was the reason she was there, or at least something similar to that, because of her awkward demeanor.

"Damn it, Cody!" she said, mocking offense. "I thought we were gonna pretend that never happened?"

"Who says I was talking about the kiss?" you asked, firing back at her.

"Ugh, you're such an ass sometimes!" she said, mocking annoyance now.

She took a minute to pace around the room, likely psyching herself up for what she was going to say originally when she came in here.

"I don't regret it though," she said quietly.

That was a massive information boost you got from her, and given her massive spike in points, it's likely that she had kept these sorts of feelings bottled up for a long time now (long time meaning a day or two). You began to wonder if all of the times she had poked fun at you and Amy was just her coping with it.

"What about you?" she asked.

Damn, the open-endedness of her question was massive. How were you supposed to respond? Were you supposed to respond to her kissing you? Helping her out? What?

Women.

"I...you understand where I'm coming from, right?" you began. She nodded, so you continued. "I mean, you're my girlfriend's sister, this isn't something that happens every day. And it's not like my relationship with her is rocky at the moment. Far from it. I also understand where you're coming from, because up until a few weeks ago, I was in a similar place, except I hadn't been going to all-girls schools my entire life."

That last comment earned you a small smile from Evelyn's otherwise stoic face.

"I just...I just need time to think about it, Evelyn. I also probably need to talk to Amy."

Her eyes went wide after that. "She'd never forgive me if you told her what I did."

That was true. While Amy did deserve to know, you didn't want to nuke the relationship between the two of them because of a moment of weakness by Evelyn. You also didn't want to go sneaking around though, because that was essentially cheating in your handbook.

Stupid Affection Multiplier App, why couldn't you help in this circumstance? It had gone silent ever since updating your scores with Evelyn, and it didn't show any signs of giving you any new traits to help with your situation.

Of course, there always was First Lover's Pride, but you didn't want to resort to using that. The situation you were in was the reason it was made, but altering Amy's personality like that, especially when she already had these secret fantasies about people like Summer, seemed a bit overkill. Should you just wait for your relationship with Evelyn until the Affection Multiplier had something to offer here?

Pearson, Evelyn

Affection Score: 84 (+8) - I genuinely care about your well-being

Love Score: 39 (+7) - Sure, I'd go on a date with you

Lust Score: 37 (+2) - If I was drunk...

Evelyn is feeling conflicted about your relationship, especially when it comes to Amy.

What DO you do?
