Prompt: Write a flashback to ancient times in which Jake (then known as Jarek) Betrays Fenrir to the Moon Goddess
Cool, it did that very decently the first try, although looking back I should have it name the Moon Goddess at some point. Also yay! Jake has a character arch and goals now!
Jarek watched as the moon goddess gathered the purest samples of Fenrir's blood and fur from the rocky soil. The wolf god's rage was palpable, and Jarek knew he had to act fast.
"Fenrir, your reign of terror is over," Jarek spoke with confidence, drawing Fenrir's attention. "You have caused enough destruction and death. It's time to face your punishment."
Fenrir snarled, baring his razor-sharp teeth. "You dare betray me, Jarek? After all I have done for you?"
Jarek stood his ground, his eyes fixed on the wolf god. "Your power has gone too far. You've become too savage. It's time to put an end to your madness."
Fenrir lunged at Jarek, but the goddess of the moon intervened. With a flick of her hand, she summoned chains of pure moonlight, binding Fenrir in place.
"You've done well, Jarek," the goddess spoke softly, her voice echoing like a gentle breeze. "With your help, we can finally bring peace to this world."
Jarek nodded, relief washing over him as he watched Fenrir struggle in vain against his bonds. He knew that the wolf god would never stop trying to break free, but for now, he was content knowing that he had played a part in bringing justice to the world.
Years had passed since that fateful day, but Jarek had never forgotten his role in Fenrir's capture. Now, as he stood, staring down at the fallen Avatar, he knew that he had to take the power for himself, to help him contain Fenrir's savagery from ever being unleashed on the world again.
