Corruption ensues

You land at the airport in Qatar with Stacy and Old Bob. Ever since Stacy has come back, she hasn’t stopped talking to Old Bob. He knew how to keep her interested in his stories. He would tell her how he was a stud back in the days and would totally fall for her if he was younger, maybe even marry. But alas, he is too old for her now in his own words. Stacy, as kind as she is, tells him he is still very handsome and gives him a peck on the cheek.

You all make your way out of the airplane to collect your luggage. While Stacy and Old Bob picked their luggage up quite early, you had to wait rather long. The conveyor belt went around three times already and still no sight of your luggage. It took so long that Old Bob went to get a drink and Stacy went with him so that he would not be alone in a foreign country. After a while they come back.

“Please tell me you have your luggage?”, Stacy asked concerned.

“No, I guess it’s missing. There goes my holiday, I lost all my stuff! I should report this at the airline service desk.” You leave them behind to find the service desk. However, you still hear Bob say, ”So good of you to give your important documents to me, see how I keep everything together while your boyfriend loses his stuff.” You look back and see her giggling and nodding. She even brushes Old Bob’s arm with her hand while looking up to him.

You take your time at the service desk to explain your situation and had to specifically list what you had in the suitcase. When you got back to where you left them, you don’t see them anymore. After some searching, you call her using the Wi-Fi from the airport but apparently she doesn’t have any reception. You call a few more times until she finally picks up.

“Stacy, where are you? I am looking everywhere for you!”, you bellow.

“Well, we were waiting for some time but then Old Bob said it’s not right for a man to leave his woman behind like this and to keep her waiting. He grabbed my hand and said he’d show me how to treat a sweetheart like me. He called a cab over and immediately brought me back to the hotel to show me the place.”

“Honey, how could you just leave me alone at the airport, I don’t even have my luggage or passport.”, you feel betrayed.

“Come on, Matt, it’s not a big deal. Besides, it was very warm and here we can get some drinks and freshen up. Just get a taxi and come over here. We are about to check in to the rooms. Perhaps I’ll change and put on a nice bikini to swim in the pool. If you get here quick, we can swim together. Otherwise I will have to swim with Old Bob.” Although she seems to be joking, you fear she might actually do that.

“Okay, I’m coming over now”, you reply.
