Maggie

You wake up and stumble into the bathroom. You look into the mirror and do a double take. The girl in the mirror looks nothing like you.

She is thin, has a pretty face with high cheekbones and lustrous black hair. Her skin is blemish free and tanned.

You move to touch your face and your hand appears in the mirror. You touch your face and realize the girl in the mirror is you.

You head to the scale and step on. You lost an incredible thirty pounds.

You rummage through the clothes Diana gave you looking for something small enough to fit into.

You find yoga pants and a black tube top that fits well. Just about everything else is too big.

Your phone vibrates.

Maggie, meets us for breakfast.

You are shocked. Apparently, you are part of Phoebe’s circle now.

You head out to the restaurant. When you get there Phoebe, Molly, and Diana are already sitting.

Molly looks at you. “OMG girlfriend, you look fantastic!”

Phoebe studies you. “Gregor is amazing. I knew there was a natural beauty under there. Sit down, Maggie. Relax. After breakfast we’ll go get you a few proper outfits.”

“I couldn’t. You’ve already done so much.”

“Do you how rich my daddy is, Maggie? You will get some new clothes. My treat, and I’m not taking no for an answer.”

“Only a few though?”

Phoebe glares at you.

You spend the next four hours shopping. You keep trying to buy the least expensive clothes and Phoebe keeps buying you ridiculously priced dresses. You leave the last shop in a skin tight red dress. You have to admit, you look fabulous.

“Maggie, we’re hitting a club tomorrow night. You’re coming.”

Molly and Diana nod in agreement.

You say goodbye and head for your last class of the day. You are giddy at the prospect of hanging out with your new friends.
