Return the gold
It would be wrong to keep the gold. You take it and go to the door of the guest room with it. Then you knock.
You hear cursing from inside.
"Who's getting on my nerves ~ hiek ~ now?" you hear him grumble.
The grim man opened the door.
"What?" he growls at you.
You hold out the bag of gold to him.
"Oh." is all he says. Then he takes back his gold and closes the door in your face. No thanks.
"Asshole."
