A Restaurant Fiasko

He drives casually, before parking at a restaurant. "Better hurry if we want to make our reservation, and I click my tongue in reply, "Can't have that!." I chided back, giggling as I unbuckled and got out. We got into the restaurant, got seated and looked over the menu. He let me know he was paying, and to get whatever I wanted, and I smiled and thanked him. Soon, while going over the menu we made small talk, chatting amicably. It did not take long to order.

Once the waitress left, and within moments a woman, sitting at a nearby table, inquired, "Hope I'm not interrupting Christopher, but I was wondering... where did you get the new mannequin? It was so lifelike ... or so my friends keep telling me." He smiled back, chuckling. "Let me let you in on a secret; I'm sitting across from it ... her. She's filling in as a new trail of something called a 'living mannequin, and right now there's a bet between some local photographers and myself based on if anyone can tell."

The woman smiled, looking me over closely, "No ... there's no way, Hang on." She hold her hand up, grabbed her phone and looked through what seemed to be photos, before landing on one. She held it up, "But your new mannequin was often in the nude ... See, look here." I watched as a large, toothy grin spread on his face, "Indeed?", and his gaze turned to me, curiosity clear on his face, before continuing, "Well then, would having her strip help persuade you she really was my living mannequin today? You could then make a solid comparison between her and your photos."

She looked over at me, giggled softly and suavely replied, "I support it would if only she'd be inclined to strip for us so we could make such a determination." As for myself, I quietly listened in and found myself aware of how things were progressing. It's a rather public space, at a restaurant that needs a reservation just to get in. Then again, it would help settle the point once and for all, so...
