Lionore exits her tent just as morning breaks over the treetops. She’d taken a commission to explore an old wizard’s stronghold deep in the forest and she’d arrived in the clearing where the entrance lay last night. She makes her way to a nearby spring and splashes her naked body with the fresh water. It’s cold and bracing. Her nipples stand out in the brisk morning air, but she feels much more awake. Before making breakfast, she dons her traveling clothes and leathers, protection against the elements and any forest denizens who might be nearby. She breaks into her rations and has a bite to eat before boiling water for coffee.
