Consultation

You go back inside and upstairs to your bedroom. Mira had just finished getting dressed. You tell her about the message from the messenger.

"You want us all to go to the capital? The last time that happened, the start of a war was announced. Oh no Gunther hopefully this won't happen."

Her eyes became glazed and a tear formed.

She was afraid. They were having a hard time as it was, but she certainly wouldn't be able to make ends meet on her own if you were to be pulled into the military.

"Don't worry honey." you try to reassure her

"It's not going to be that way. Our king may be old, but he's still wise and he would do anything to prevent a war, I'm sure of it. Let's go anyway though, it might be important."

Mira nodded. She put on a cloak and together you set off on your journey.

It took almost the whole day, but you made it to the center of the capital in time for the announcement in the evening.

"Wow, it's beautiful here." Mira's eyes were shining.

"And expensive," you replied.

Many people had already gathered in the fairground. Like them, many had traveled especially for this occasion, residents watched from the windows. Richer residents stood on their balconies and looked down on the common people from above.
