Now, one thing was the XP, and leveling. The Hag and Sam were happy as they had both leveled, and thanks to the Hag being a microboss, they would keep their levels even if they died (Sam was currently her Champion, and they kept levels as well.

As it was multiple parties fighting on their own, even if there were basically 2 sides, the system considered things to be 1 on 1 battles with XP split among their parties, unless they were acting as distinct groups. Only 2 groups did that, Hag and Sam, and Jane and Amy
