An important discussion
Meanwhile on the foot of the Silver Rock Mountains
Aerethe, Daras, Khaxat, and Zisho double check their supplies. Aerethe softly smiles as she hugs Daras. Her shiny feathers rubbing him just the right way to make his body shiver. He glances at her. "What are you trying to do to me woman!?" She playfully smiles. "Hehe. I was thinking of riling up until you chase me." He grins a little. "Hmm, that does sound fun." He flexes his muscles before turning around, scraping his hooves on the ground. "I like exercising." She gulps, turning to run. "Eep! ♥" Her green and red rectrices spreading out slightly as if to cover her butt from attack.
Zisho places a hand on her left hip. "You two can play later. We have a job to do. Khaxat laughs while checking his equipment. "Oh come now, Commander. Weren't you having similar fun when Angelo was around a few days ago?" Her cheeks turn bright red. "That, that has nothing to do with this." Aerethe walks over to gently pat Zisho's back with her right wing. "It's okay. I understand, Commander. I'll keep my playing to a minimum until we get back." Zisho's cheeks redden a little more. "Ugh!"
Daras leans gently against his large battle ax's hilt. "Let's get going. I have energy to burn and no one to fight." Khaxat stretches, standing on his tippy toes for just a moment, making him a little taller than Daras for a few seconds. "There is a lot of movement on this mountain. I'm sure we'll have plenty of fighting to do." Zisho glances to Aerethe then to Khaxat. "Keep on your toes. According to Slyka, this area has been quiet for quite some time. Who knows what we'll find."
Daras and Zisho start to walk first as she continues to speak. "Stay close behind us. I don't want any mistakes." Aerethe looks to Khaxat. "She's kidding, right?" Khaxat grins. "Don't you worry your pretty little head. We will keep anyone or thing from hurting you. Isn't that right, Commander?" Zisho smirks. "Indeed, but that doesn't give any of you an excuse to relax." Daras grins as his muscles flex in an attempt to taunt any possible foes. "Yeah, come at me!" Everyone else chuckles. He lifts a brow before smiling.
Back to Angelo and the others
Angelo and Lena didn't have to wait long for Dubala and Jasmine to come back into the living room. Dubala gently nudges Jasmine. "Go ahead." Jasmine gently rubs her left arm. "We would like to go with you, but we have a few questions that need to be answered first." Lena leans gently against his arm. He tilts his head slightly. "That's fair. Ask away." Dubala sits down by his other side and leans against it. "Mm, this is comfy." Lena lifts a brow, but grins. "Yes, very comfy." She nuzzles against his arm.
Jasmine's cheeks redden slightly as she watches Lena and Dubala cuddling Angelo. "Um, will we be working as a group or conducting our own investigations?" He moves his left hand to Lena's right thigh and his right hand to Dubala's left thigh. He gently squeezes their thighs while gazing into Jasmine's eyes. "We'll likely need to conduct our own investigations. There are quite a few villagers to question." She bit her bottom lip, watching her sister and Lena squirm a little. "That makes sense. Are we allowed to use any means we deem fit?"
Angelo nods. "Of course, but I wouldn't suggest using **** unless it is absolutely necessary." Dubala pouts. "What if we just want to punch their dumb face in?" Before he could answer, Lena glares hard at Dubala. "That's not a good excuse." Dubala rolls her eyes. "Says you." Jasmine gently clears her throat. "Do you have any idea what we're looking for besides a servant of Bhaal?" Lena and Dubala look at him closely. He looks down slightly. 'Besides that I don't have much to work with.'
Angelo's eyes look around before glancing up into Jasmine's eyes. "All I know is that Bhaal's Corruption is nearing the village." Dubala kisses his right shoulder. "Hmm, it sounds like there should be an alter somewhere. Maybe a few idols and/or sacrifices to Bhaal." His hands slowly caress Lena's and Dubala's thighs, causing them both to moan very softly. "That's true, but they are trying to keep things hush until it's too late." Lena's eyes widen. "You don't suppose there have been kidnappings?"
Jasmine gently scratches her chin. "Wouldn't that mean that there would be disappearances in and/or around the village? They should be pretty suspicious." Dubala grins. "Not if you do it right." She glances at Angelo. "Since we're calling this place a village, is it safe to assume there technology isn't very advanced?" He nods slightly. "Yes, but that's because they have been fighting a lot." She smiles. "I'm not insulting their intelligence. My guess is they have hunting parties to catch food. It would be fairly easy to have one or more get picked off during a hunt if you have outside help or traps set in place."
Lena nods slightly. "That makes a lot of sense. Whoever this is they are quite wicked!" Jasmine nods too while grinning. "Just like a certain sister I know." Dubala sticks out her tongue at Jasmine. "That just means I know how to have fun." Angelo chuckles while listening to them. "I think we have a pretty good idea on what to do from here." Jasmine walks closer to him before turning to sit on his lap. "How will we signal one another if we've found something?" He looks down slightly. 'I don't think my phone will work in an illusion barrier.'
Dubala lifts a brow. "We can send a text. That should work." Lena pouts. "I don't have a phone." Angelo blinks. "Your phone works in an illusion barrier?" Dubala nods slightly, a perplexed look upon her face. However, her mouth opens knowingly a mere second later. "Ah, right. I forgot you haven't been in the Abyss that long." She takes out her phone and starts to type away. "I'll get you a transdimensional signal booster for your phone." She glances over at Lena. "I'll get a core relay for her."
Angelo and Lena lift a brow. Jasmine smiles. "It will allow Lena to connect to Angelo telepathically." Lena smiles excitedly. "I'll be able to talk to you wherever you are! Oh, thank you. Thank you, Dubala!" She moves to hug Dubala. Dubala tilts a little, but hugs Lena in return. "Yeah yeah. I'm not doing it for you. I'm doing this for our safety." He looks to her with a warm smile. "Well, thank you anyway." Her cheeks darken a little. "Don't mention it." Jasmine and Lena giggle. Not to long after, there is a knock at the front door.
Jasmine goes to answer it. About a minute later, she comes back with a small package. She opens it, revealing one, one millimeter square chip and one sky blue marble. Lena reaches for the marble. "Oo, that's pretty." Dubala chuckles. "Yeah, well, as pretty as it may be. You're going to have to eat it." Lena looks at it a moment. Her expression grows forlorn. "Do I have to?" Dubala nods slightly. "It'll combine with your core once it's close enough." Angelo blinks. "How did you know she had a core?"
Dubala smirks. "I have my ways..." Jasmine slyly smiles. "I told her that Lena was a golem." Dubala's eyes widen ever so slightly. "That may be true, but Lena's body texture and temperature would have given her away anyway." Lena starts to pout. "Am I that off from being human?" Angelo nods while lifting a hand up to caress her cheek. "Yes, but it's not a bad thing." Jasmine nods. "Being mortal like most humans is overrated." Lena nods slightly before her eyes widen. "Oh no! Does that mean that Angelo will die before me!?"
Angelo blinks as Lena stares worriedly into his eyes. "That was always a possibility regardless of being mortal." She hugs him tightly. "Don't you ever die on me. I want to be the one that dies first if it is unavoidable." He gently hugs her. "Let's both do our best to avoid ****, okay?" She nods while nuzzling closer to him. Jasmine sits down on the couch on his left side. "May I borrow your phone please?" He nods, taking out his phone. She gently takes it and places the chip on the back of his phone near where the antenna should be. Once there, a small magic circle appears before the chip disappears.
Jasmine hands the phone back to Angelo. "There. So long as the phone is in operation you'll be able to call anyone within your normal service area without issue." He nods slightly while sliding the phone back into his pocket. "Cool. Um, what was that magic circle for just now?" Dubala leans hard against him, causing him to bump into Jasmine. "It just teleported itself inside your phone. It makes it so anyone can install it regardless of the type of phone." He nods. "That's neat, but is that standard?"
Jasmine shakes her head. "Dubala was being extra sweet on you." Dubala's cheeks darken again. "I did it so it would be easier in general..." Lena hugs Dubala. "Thanks again." As she did, a voice was heard inside of Angelo's mind. "Can you hear me?" He tilts his head a little and glances at Lena. "Yes, is that you, Lena?" She simply grins. Jasmine and Dubala lean a little more against him. He was enjoying the moment, but they needed to get going soon. However, he wondered if there would be any trouble when they arrive or not?
Will there be any trouble when they arrive or not?
Descent into the Abyss
Man or woman?
I am basing the world off of "The Gamer" by Sangyoung Seong. I wanted to shake it up and add more flexibility.
