Chapter 7
by Veiled
Around the pool
Catching up
You sat down with Katie by the pool. You thought about what Brian had said, about how despite being a dorky guy in high school you’d still landed a hot wife. It was sort of nice to be complimented, even if it was a pretty vulgar comment which blatantly objectified Katie. And in a way, it felt like sort of a concession on his part that despite the past antagonism he was able to acknowledge you’d ended up doing pretty well. It had been amusing, in a way, to see Brian staring at Katie’s body so hungrily. You’d always envied him in high school, and now he was the one that clearly wished he was you. That felt pretty good. Brian came out with all the stuff he’d promised, setting it down and sitting down on a pool chair next to Katie. You spent some time catching up, talking about what work each of you did, how you both got interested in this area, and what you thought of the other neighbors. It was a civil conversation, and later Brian started to tell some funny stories about high school. He was good enough to exclude all the times he’d humiliated you or stolen your girlfriends, and even made it out like you were old friends. This suited you fine- you didn’t need your old bully telling your wife what a loser you used to be. It seemed like he was extending yet another olive branch to you.
At one point Katie got up to use his bathroom, and you saw his eyes shamelessly follow her as she walked away. His gaze very clearly fixed on Katie’s peachy butt in her light blue swimsuit. When she came back, he made a show of complaining about the sun, and then suggested you all put on some sunscreen. Katie nodded “Yeah I have pretty sensitive skin so that’s probably smart.” She said, setting down her beer. She started to rub the creamy white lotion over her fair skin when a dirty smirk curled across Brian’s face. “Want me to get your back?” He asked, as bold and shameless as always. Katie laughed “I don’t know about that…” she said, turning to glance at you. But something about him practically drooling over your girl was satisfying to you, and strangely exciting. You leaned back in your chair, basking in the sun. “Go ahead, I just got comfortable.” You said nonchalantly, and you pretended not to notice Katie’s look of open-mouthed shock. Brian was quick to seize the opportunity. “Okay great, lay down.” He told her, and there was a slight undertone to his voice, as if he was ordering her to lay down for him rather than asking.
