Xander fell onto his bed, dumbfounded. Vampires were real. Buffy was a Slayer. They were…

“Alex, package for you!” his Mom called up.

Xander groaned, only his Mom called him Alex. It wasn't out of affection, she'd just never learned what name he actually went by. He opened his bedroom door and took it from her, wondering what it could be. He opened it up to find himself looking at a brand new laptop.

Then the memories came back to him. The World Processor. Willow’s computer. Everything he had read had predicted what was going to happen.

Shit, not only were vampires real…the future was already written? And he had the power to change it?

He opened the laptop up. There was no log in screen, there was just the World Processor.

Last Turn

He scanned through everything else. His changes. He’d just been messing around, but it was all true. He guessed that meant that Buffy normally wasn’t the type of girl who went around showing off her pussy.

He’d done that. A part of him felt really bad about it. A part of him though regretted that he hadn’t had her fall in love with him. Her turnoffs were still friends and nerds, yeah, he squarely fell into that category.

Xander realized there was something he was forgetting. The tutorial. It said he could go back and do the tutorial at any time. That would be his first stop.

Tutorial for new users:

• The World Processor can bring about (almost) any change you desire. Simply type the new future/change in reality you wish to see. However, please be aware of a few notes when using this software.
• Anything typed will occur, that doesn’t mean it will happen the way you want. Example: if two friends are told to fight each other, they may end the fight early and/or chalk it up to playing around getting out of hand. If they cannot rationalize it the sudden change in behavior may cause significant mental problems.
• Meta changes are possible, but dangerous and tricky to pull off.
• The past can be changed, however, it is difficult to make alterations already done by the World Processor.
• Emotions can be changed, but emotions are transitory. If you had a man become angry at his wife, the feeling may pass after just a moment and he’ll ascribe it to paranoia. If you type that he believes she is cheating on him, it is more likely to hold. If you also make it that she is cheating on him, it is almost guaranteed to hold.
• A change you make may affect later portions of the script. Example: if you have a person leave town, later lines may be modified based on their absence. The user will not know these changes until he experiences them.
• After making these changes, the user will forget about the World Processor until the next time to interact with it.
• User’s area has been detected to have magic. Poorly defined/illogical action may end up caused by magic. This can be of benefit and danger to the user.
• User’s area has been detected to have a Hellmouth. Warning: corrupting influence on the World Processor. Be warned changes may take a darker course than intended. Emergency Measures: World Processor will shut off after 12 uses.
• Have fun and don’t overthink freewill. Attempting to not use the World Processor for its intended purpose (i.e. enjoyment) will lead to the destruction of your universe. User type detected: Perverted. Sexual changes mandatory.

Xander read the notes over multiple times. It didn’t seem like there was an easy way out of this. Eventually he had **** but to click the ‘next’ button.

Timeline Change: Given her Exhibitionism, Buffy is eager to join the talent show. Willow and Xander are brought into the group both to deepen her friendship and hopefully keep her from getting out of control.

1. Buffy, Willow, and Xander are trying to figure out what to do perform. Willow suggests a dramatic script and they take the idea. They have a casual conversation about their lack of talent, excluding Willow, whose nerves preclude her from doing anything. It is interrupted by Sid. A body is discovered missing a heart.
2. The group splits up to do interviews. Buffy talks to Morgan and is unnerved by Sid. Xander is frustrated by Cordelia being self-centered.
3. Buffy is moisturizing when Joyce enters her room. She says she is looking forward to seeing the show. This makes Buffy nervous. After laying in the bed she is attacked by Sid.
4. Xander and Willow are watching people practice: magic, juggling, music. Cordelia is trying to persuade Giles to give her a better spot. Buffy tells them about Sid, but they don’t believe her.
5. Xander steals Sid and tries to convince Buffy it’s not real. His performance annoys Willow and Buffy. He agrees to watch over Sid while Willow and Giles do research in the back.
6. Cordelia is suddenly nervous about appearing on stage. Giles tells her to imagine people in their underwear, which disturbs her. He gathers the students for a power circle.
7. Buffy and Sid talk in the rafters. He tells her about a past relationship he had with a Slayer, but does not go into detail. She is disturbed when he puts his hand on her leg.
8. After killing the demon, Willow, Buffy, and Giles are caught on stage as the curtain raises.
9. Willow, Buffy, and Xander embarrassingly perform their piece.

Xander read it over a few times. He then picked up the phone, hoping to call Willow, but there wasn’t even a dial tone. He tried the door, but the knob wouldn’t even budge. When he looked outside it seemed like time was frozen in place.

He couldn’t believe this was happening, or that his primary trait was apparently being a pervert. Well, that he could believe. He rationalized that the only thing he could do now was make the most of it.
