The Dean

Lauren swung around and saw the Dean marching towards her.

"Lauren! There you are!" He exclaimed. "We're just about to begin and you're late!"

"I... I need to go to my car..." Lauren said desperately.

"There's no time, and we can't make all the people wait!" He said, grasping her hand and pulling her away. Lauren stumbled after him, digging in her bare heels in desperation.

"I understand you're nervous about your big day," The dean tried to reassure her. "But this is your moment, and you should enjoy it!"

Lauren was pulled out the football field. There was a stage built in the field with the three hundred graduating students as well as the whole faculty. Surrounding them was bleachers with twice that number of family and community members. Lauren spotted several video cameras recording. Oh god, she couldn't do this! But, unfortunately she had ****...
