Lauren arrives at the school

The next day, she headed for the location dressed up in her prepared outfit. She was ready to start teaching. Lauren slowly realized that she didn’t even have a lesson planned, but shrugged her shoulders. “Eh, it’s the first day, no one cares,” Lauren said.

And so she pulled in front of the building where the school was. To her surprise it was mostly empty, there were only few cars parked outside as Lauren headed inside.

As she entered she saw a brunette woman waiting for her. “Hello, I’m Cali Logan, you must be Lauren,” Cali said as she stuck out her hand.

Lauren shook it trying to be professional. “Yes, thank you for giving me this opportunity. I’ll admit, this is my first time doing something like this.”

“That’s okay, this time around it’s mostly improv anyways. Whatever happens just go with it, and if you’re uncomfortable at any point, just let me know,” Cali said.

Lauren nodded. “Sure, okay.”

“Now here’s the scenario. You’ll be in this classroom over here, okay? Just begin teaching and everything else will play out as it goes. Remember improv, adapt to your surroundings, and you’ll do great,” Cali said.

Lauren nodded and entered the classroom. She saw a few people already in the classroom, seated in the desks. A chalkboard was at the front and Lauren felt like she was back in middle school or something. She gulped as she took a deep breath and smiled. She was glad they were giving her an opportunity to practice before the actual students arrived. “Hello, class, I’m Miss Lauren. Today we’re going to do a basic math lesson.”
