Isabella.

Arerto looked at the armour-clad Isabella as she approached her sword already drawn watching her picking up her pace. She charged at Arerto who raised her sword and parried the attempted blow and let Isabella's momentum carry her forward and past her. Arerto stuck her foot out as Isabella passed her and caught her leg making her fall to the arena floor. Arerto swung her sword downwards aiming at Isabella's back but the blade bounced off with a loud clang which sent vibrations up Arerto's arm. Isabella felt the impact and jumped to her feet swing her sword in a low arc and sliced Arerto's leg just below the knee which caused blood to trickle down her calf. She could feel her left arm getting heavy from the loss of blood that Magda caused her and now her leg was injured. Just as she started to recover Isabella hit her in the side of the head with the heavy hilt of her sword which produced more blood to flow down her face. Arerto was in bad shaped as Isabella taunted her.

"Come on bitch surrender and I will let you live as my ass licking pussy sucking slut. I will whip you just as I whipped your whore, Helena."

Hearing this Arerto saw blood both literally and figuratively and gathered her remaining strength and charged at Isabella who was taken off guard. Through the clash of steel and the dust that rose up, Arerto managed to get a thrust in between Isabella's armour slicing open her thigh but it came at a cost as Isabella's blade sliced into Arerto's back leaving a deep gash. Both women were losing blood and the fighting became laboured as both women collapsed in the sand. The blood soaked into the sand grains mixing together as Marcus stood and approached the fallen women and saw that Isabella was dead from her wound. Arerto was just barely alive and Marcus had one healer tend her but he told Marcus that she did not have long maybe an hour or two. Marcus sent a messenger request for a meeting with the commander of the Amazon's Julieanna. He had a temporary shelter placed above Arerto, yes she was an enemy but she had the heart of a lion and Marcus admired this.

Sometime later the messenger returned and said that the enemy commander Julieanna agreed to the meeting. Marcus headed for the meeting spot which was chosen as the border between his lands and those of the amazons. He stopped in his own territory and waited and soon Julieanna appeared and asked him what he wanted already knowing the answer. Marcus explained and offered Julieanna and one other safe passage to recover Arerto as he had given his word to Arerto that he would not cross over to Amazon land ever again. Julieanna thanked him and said she and one other would come to his camp within the hour. Both departed and Julieanna went in search of Kriss and told her what Marcus and said and that Arerto was in a bad way but still clinging to life. They got a sledge together and a horse and headed out towards Marcus's camp to retrieve their fallen commander and Princess each with their own thoughts.
