Chat casually

By the time Nicole was walking out of the shower, Samantha and Tom had already worked up to chatting casually about the latest HBO show.

"Ooh drinks!" Nicole said as she entered the living room drying her hair with a small towel. "Great, shower's all yours babe."

"Oh o-okay."

Reluctantly, leaving his glass, Tom stood up and idly walked towards the bathroom while Nicole took his place. She poured herself a drink and curled up on the couch, smooth and naked, almost ready to fall asleep.

"Okay," she said. "I'll have to admit, you're doing it right."

"I wasn't trying to change minds." Samantha said. "But I'm glad you're comfortable."

"So, was Tom behaved?"

"Yeah, he was fine. Though a little nervous, poor guy."

"As long as he wasn't staring."

"Can you really blame him?" Samantha said as the two friends broke into laughter.

"So, did you want to watch a movie tonight?" Nicole asked. "I don't know what you had planned today, but we're wide open."

"Yeah, a movie would be great," Samantha said. "I can see what's on Netflix."

"It's great seeing you." she added. And didn't mean that in the literal sense that she was seeing her naked, but it was striking how after not having seen her friends for a year, she was getting used to them in a whole different way. It was liberating. She was more at ease with Nicole than she was ever before.

Tom came wandering back into the room as Nicole revealed the plans to watch a movie. "Oh yeah, sure... Naked?"

"Yeah silly, I wouldn't have taken a shower otherwise."
