Kiss and make up.

“You two don’t hate each other. You love each other!” Tiffany informs Emelia and Kathrine.

“We love…”

“Each other…”

Emelia and Kathrine say one after the other stunned at the sudden realization.

“Yes! You two were the best of friends. You were super close! Inseparable! But then, all the other girls went boy crazy. Everyone became obsessed with claiming their stake and you let something silly like that drive a spike in your budding relationship.”

The two turn to look again at each other as Tiffany speaks. They blush, their breaths start to slow, and they inch closer to each other.

“You’ve been raging at each other all this time because you felt severely betrayed by the other. Betrayal hurts so much more when it’s by someone you deeply love. Emelia. Kathrine. You two should put all this dumb drama behind you. Throw away having ever worried about who’s dating who or wanting to jump someone’s dick for yourself, and just be happy together. Except for my dick. My dick is the only dick you will ever crave. And I gladly share. But other than that, you two are in love with each other! Don’t deny yourselves any longer!”

Emelia and Kathrine face one another mouths agape and unable to think of anything to say. Their hands rise and meet each other. Their fingers entwine and they breathe deeply.

“I…I mean…You…”

“Yea…I…”

The two lean into each other and finally kiss. Their shoulders slacken. They exhale after each kiss as all tension leaves their bodies. Kathy grabs hold of Em’s face, and then Em reciprocates. Their passion swells. They dig into each other’s mouths over and over and over. They press their bodies into each other as if trying to get closer than physically possible.

Kathrine breaks the kiss. “I’m, I’m so sorry Em! I’m sorry for messing with your work! I’m sorry for ever shitty thing I ever did to you! I… I love you Em!”

“I love you too Kathy, and… it’s alright,” Emelia replies. “I’m sorry for every awful thing I ever did to you! I’m sorry I didn’t stand by you! I’m sorry I let everyone shun you! I’m…I’m just sorry for everything!”

“Are you sorry for pushing me into the lake at camp?”

“Maybe. I just thought it was about time you showed off that cute swimsuit you were bragging about. And you were wearing that baggy white shirt. It was the perfect opportunity!”

“You could have just asked silly. You know I would have shown you whatever you wanted in private.”

“That true, but…the thought of asking you for something like that kinda…made me nervous. I’m, I’m still feeling nervous just thinking about it now,” Emelia chuckles.

“No lie, I would have been barfing out butterflies if you did ask me. It would have been spin-the-bottle all over again!”

“We got made fun of so hard for that! Funny how it gave everyone the wrong idea about you. If only they could see us now!” Emelia laughs. Then they go back to making out.

“Huh, maybe I didn’t just make all that up,” Tiff says to herself as she watches the two lovingly peck at each other.

Tiffany hears quick footsteps from the hall and before she can say anything the door swings open. She instantly ducks and crawls under the desk to hide her half naked self.

“Ah! Emelia? Kathrine?” Says an old male voice.

“Oh God! Professor! We’re‒We are really sorry!” Says Kathy letting go of Em.

“We’re very sorry! This is so unprofessional of us!” Says Emelia while fixing herself up.

Professor Brown waves his hand at the two. “Eeh, it’s no big deal. Really. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve walked in on Mark and Steve.” He chuckles. “I just need to grab a packet and then get back to class.”

Brown walks around his two assistants and towards his desk. Tiffany retreats as far as she can into little space under the desk. She hears papers rustling but she doesn’t see the Professor’s legs. Tiff sighs in relief as she hears him walking away from the desk.

“Oh, um. Professor?” Emelia speaks up. “About the disciplinary notice…”

Kathrine pops in. “We…kinda talked things through, and…”

“Oh well, uh, let’s see,” Brown composes himself. “So, it looks like you two are…really getting along. Things must have changed for the better I presume.” He chuckles and then clears his throat. “Can you say with complete confidence and certainty that you won’t be going at each other’s throats anytime soon?” He then says under his breath. “Actually, that phrase might have a different meaning here…”

“Yes! Yes, Professor Brown! We won’t fight each other here ever again!” Em responds.

“We promise that we will never cause trouble for you or anyone else on campus ever again!” Adds Kathy.

“Good, very good. As long as you’re not causing any more trouble, well, that’s all that really matters to me. I’ll talk with the board and get the heat off you two.” Says Professor Brown.

“Thank you thank you thank you Professor!!”

“Thank you so much! We’re sorry for everything we ever did! You’re the best Professor!!”

“Good! Good! I’m glad to see that everything is settled,” Brown says as he steps out of his office. But then he quickly pokes back in. “By the way, you two know you’re not scheduled today, right?

“Huh?!”

“Wha?!”

Emelia and Kathrine pull out their phones to look for their calendars and check their messages.

“The board pulled you off the calendar for the rest of the week since they didn’t want you blowing up here after they dropped the news. Can fricking you believe it?!” Brown laughs. “Anyway, you two should go and enjoy your free time. Make the most of it before you have to come back next week. Okay! Have a great day you two!”

Professor Brown shuts the door as he leaves. Em and Kathy hold hands and giggle with absolute joy. Tiffany struggles to pull herself out from under the desk.

She plops out from behind the desk and announces, “Party at Kathy’s!”
