Picture in the Paper

While Lauren watched social media, desperately trying to keep her image off the internet, disaster struck. The cover of the local paper the next day was an article about her! The headline read 'FORMER PROM QUEEN ARRESTED FOR STREAKING!'. It had a half page picture of Lauren's arrest someone had snapped. It showed Lauren from behind being handcuffed by the female officer. The picture was, since it was in the newspaper, blurred out. Unfortunately blurring her butt did nothing to hide how wide it clearly was, how thick her thighs were, and plainly showed her love-handles. She was looking over her shoulder, so there could be no doubt it was her since her face was clearly captured, red cheeks and all.

The article made no mention of her bikini splitting and being stolen. Instead it entirely made it seem like Lauren was intentionally naked in public. Even worse, the article had several quotes from people on the beach (including her sister) about how different she looked.

"I never expected that under her clothes, Lauren was really overweight." Vanessa said in the article.

"I couldn't believe it! Lauren was so famous for her looks, but it was all a lie!" Britney her rival said in the story.

The writer went on the speculate. Perhaps Lauren was protesting body shaming? Lauren, beyond the humiliation, was embarrassed that people were speculating about her motives when she didn't want to be naked in public! Also no one reached out to her!

After the article everything changed. Everyone openly mocked her at the restaurant she worked at. She still wore the Spanx and padded bra, though people seemed to find that even more amusing, knowing it was fake!

"No need to be embarrassed, let it all hang out!" A cook suggested, spurring laughter and agreement from the other men in the kitchen.

"I can't believe she still thinks she's fooling people." A waitress said loudly, gesturing at Lauren's supposedly slim figure.

"At least she's still got those huge tits!" She overheard at a table she was serving.

"Didn't you hear? Those are fake too!" His friend responded right as Lauren arrived with their drinks.

Lauren was crushed. Her secret was out, and her problems were still just beginning...
