A new job

Mages, sorcerers, alchemists. Everyone that used any kind of magic or healing, even purely medicinal was on the list of the witch hunters. They did not care. As they like to say, it was all for the good of people.

In the past, some sorceresses were right in the middle of all political meddling between the kings and kingdoms. There was a lot of distrust but at the same time, witch hunters used this agenda to not only protect people from monsters, but to kill and hurt anyone they deemed dangerous. But such was the life now for these people. Including Triss Merigold. Once an advisor to king Foltest of Temeria, now almost a homeless sorceress that never knew when and from where she could meet her end. She had to pay off a couple in order for them to let her have a room and hide inside of their house. She also had to pay a tithe to the King of Beggars which made her already empty pockets even more emptier. And the jobs didn't even pay that much so it was difficult. But maybe things were looking up for her. She just got a message from the King of Beggars, that he may have found her an opportunity to make some much needed money.
