Follow the tracks
Maia follows the tracks through a large grass field. The hoofprints themselves seem to be the same shape of the beasts, but are far to shallow for a creature of that size.
"Maybe these were made by a small one" Maia thinks "I bet if I got one small enough, I could train it to wear armor. Ride it into battle, leaving everyone in awe of me and my ferocious mystery beast."
The tracks lead down a steep hill, revealing a small building with a large fenced yard, nestled at the base of a valley. Around the building were pens full of beasts, massive and nearly identical.
