To the laundry room

Nicole grabbed her keys off the small table next to the door. She dropped them into the laundry basket by the loose change she had gathered up, and then bent down to pick up the basket. Her heart started racing and she took a deep breath. With one arm she pressed the laundry basket against her hip and with nervous excitement she opened the door with her free hand. She took a quick peek outside to ensure no one was around, not that she expected anyone to be at this hour, and then she stepped out into the hallway as she closed her door behind her. The tile felt cold under her bare feet and it dawned on her that she had never even been barefoot in the hallway before, let alone being as under-dressed as she currently is. Normally she had something on her feet, even if it was just a pair of flip flops she slipped on to go grab the mail.

"Oh wow," she whispered as she stood in front of her door wearing just her black tank top that left her bikini-style panties completely exposed. She couldn't believe how excited she felt and this was only the beginning of the exhibitionist adventure that she had discussed with Kate.

Nicole began walking away from her door and immediately her excitement increased. Each step felt so naughty as she took in the feel of the cool air hitting her bare legs, and the way her breasts jiggled without a bra to help hold them in place. She had worn less at the beach but this was different. Wearing a bikini at the beach is expected, it's normal. Going outside of one's apartment in just a tank top and panties is neither of those things, and considering the tank top barely held in her considerable bust it made her feel even more exposed. Never mind that the panties did little to hide her plump posterior as well. She knew that even if someone caught her like this it would be extremely embarrassing which is why her and Kate decided on these clothes to begin with.

As she reached the doors to the elevator, Nicole realized she has a decision to make that she hadn't discussed with Kate. The laundry room is on the first floor, only three floors down, and is at the end of the hallway that she's walked towards. The elevator would be faster but even at this hour she would be much more likely to be caught, and then once she's on the first floor she would have to walk down the hall to reach it. The stairs would be slower but she could get her walk across the hallway, a hallway she knows is currently empty, out of the way now and then once she descends the stairs the laundry room is right there.
