Chapter 10 by Gehrman Gehrman

What does John do?

Stealthily follow Sabrina.

After he was done laughing, John stood up and got ready to leave.

He planned on tailing Sabrina, making sure she had come alone without pulling any stunts and then proceed with the plan.

One might wonder, if he was going to go himself, what was the point of getting Sabrina to make a trip to supermarket?

It was a kind of distraction. Due to the oddness of the task given, the confusion and curiosity would be equally, if not more, strong as the fear and horror. It could serve as a damper to contain a reckless person. After all, humans really made unpredictable choices when under **** conditions — even an animal would bite back when driven to a corner — and John did not want ant Sabrina to contact anyone, friends, family, or the police. It would not spell good news for him.

Once he managed to get control of the situation and proceed with the plan, he would not have to worry about little things like that.

While thinking, he had already locked the door to his apartment and was walking down the stairs.

He soon reached the supermarket, it was not far from his home.

“Lucky me!”

John exclaimed in delight as soon as he reached his destination. It was because he caught the sight of Sabrina entering the supermarket. If he had been a little late, then he would have to search around in the large building which did not sound appealing to him.

Her house must be close, thought John to himself. After all, she had arrived much earlier than he expected.

“Or maybe she just rushed here at full speed, leaving behind everything.” That was also a possible reason.

While he was speaking to himself, he kept his feet moving lest he wanted to lose Sabrina and then search for her. He followed behind her, but also made sure to keep a good distance between them to not be noticed.

John watched Sabrina go from place to place, and in about twenty minutes, she had bought all the things from the list and moved to the counter to pay for them. Of course she had to pay for them herself.

After completing that, Sabrina walked out of the supermarket and began walking in the direction of the Baker Street, with John following closely behind. She had trouble walking straight because of the weight of thr bags, but it was not too difficult for her.

Her steps were hurried, and she also felt familiar with the area. That coupled with the fact that she was on foot made John sure that she lived close by.

When Sabrina finally reached the public park, she put the bags in her hand on the empty bench. She took a cursory glance at the people in the park. She could not help biting her lips as she thought.

‘Maybe one of them is that unknown person…’

Taking out her phone, she looked at the time. Still twenty minutes left in the one hour deadline… She heaved a sigh of relief, but her tense shoulders did not relax.

She then began to have second thoughts. The darkness of the night was affecting her, making her feel insecure by the second.

‘I even came all alone...’

A dreadful feeling was beginning to fill her up again. It was then she heard a male voice next to her.

“Fancy meeting you here.”

Who is it and what is their purpose?
