One glance and you burst out laughing like a madman!

Removing a crystal from it you scream “FUCK YEAH! This is what I like! Most of our problems solved!”

They look at you in confusion. “But it’s just another Claimant Crystal, isn’t it?”

You tell the housewife “Not at all. This is a Superior Claimant Crystal!”

Zandra frowns, “How is that any different from a normal one?”

You look at her and shake your heard “Ever wonder about the ‘superior’ part?”

No-one had.

Calming yourself down you tell them “Claimant Crystals are not a new idea. They got back to the Betaworld, at least, which is the oldest any NPC can remember. Back then it was a much more innocent time. They did not need to make thing explicit or non-explicit, or to make only certain areas to allow PVP activity. The Claimant Crystals let the Players claim a small area to make their own. After all, as you adventurer you pick up things, like mementos, trophies, equipment and more. A mage could make an arcane lab their own; a cleric could take over an abandoned church to their God, or make a new one. That kind of stuff.

“Then they considered about working together as parties or even guilds and Orders. Those groups needed a place for them to get together, plan and do other things as equals, or which would remain if any one of them left. Thus they made the Group Claimant Crystals. However, they dropped the idea due to all the people abusing things. PVP became a serious issue, as well as Players doing acts even fouler than what is allowed these days. Guilds or PKers working together, entire cabals of sex slavers who controlled the respawn points of their slaves. In fact they used the Crystals to set the respawn points. To places they controlled.

“Eventually they dropped the idea as it was all too easily abused.”

You smile sadly as you look at the Crystal in your hand. “It was never the Crystals that were the problem, but the fact the Gods did not punish such actions, but either tried to ban them, and if that would drive Players away, allow them t do the same disguised as something else.”

Alizin was ashen faced. “What do you mean?”

“Sex with children is officially forbidden, but lots of perverts like it. Let’s just say there is a reason why Gnomes, Halflings, Hobbits and Goblins have childlike bodies while being Explicit.”

There was lots of puking at that!

Getting back on track you tell them “The difference between the crystals is that this is for a group, and not individuals. A group as a whole can claim an area. You can join and leave the group, if the leader vanishes someone else can take over, and more. You can even use these for group claims and still use an Individual Crystal. You can also join more than one group at a time.

“To do it, we need the residents to gather and all non-residents to leave Highbreeze while we claim the place. 5 minutes tops should do the job. The Mayor will claim this town on behalf of the residents.”

There was smiling at that, and people set off to spread the word, and **** people out for 5 minutes.
