I shrugged. "I just used her love logic against her...no mind control," I replied. Laharla clutched her head. "Don't listen to him, he's probably using his mind control on us to make us believe him!" she protested. Etna gasped. "You're right, I almost believed what he just said!" I sighed. So the next thing I know, there's tape over my mouth, undoubtedly in an effort to keep me from "mind controlling" them. I really should have just ripped it off and chewed them out, but I was kinda curious as to where they were going with this. Besides, it made for some decent morning entertainment.

Turning to Laharla, Etna crossed her arms. "Okay...let's think about this. I don't think it's his voice alone. It must be something else," Etna mused, frowning. Laharla frowned as well. "...pheromones, maybe?" she suggested. Etna pondered that a moment before shrugging. "Yeah, could be," she agreed.

With that, she pushed Laharla toward me. "So go smell him and see if you feel like obeying his every command," she instructed. Laharla pushed back. "B...but why me?
