You and your friend Kalyh love to create crafts using scrapped and decommissioned parts that you can sell off for a nice credstick. Or just keep it for personal use.

Your fixer had a new mission for you both. Just a simple surveillance job that paid really well. All you had to do was take off and head off to the mini-corp ring and act as an eye-in-the-sky for another DA your fixer hired.
To keep things as stealthy as possible you gave him a bracelet that is tied into the system of your aircraft. With it you can give the wearer a signal. If the bracelet lights up green all is good if it changes to red troubles ahead … you better get out of there.

One of those crafts you made was an old two-seater drone taxi that you rebuild to serve as a surveillance aircraft or actually more akin to a helicopter because it can hover in the sky. This one was an easy rebuild (unlike some others you worked on) because it was conceived modular. The most work was refitting the cabin so you could have a front seat for you ( the pilot) filled with screens for the surveillance gear and a HUD display for navigation. And a comfortable backseat for your friend while she was running the Grid while still preserving decent cargo space. The main body and VTOL engines were recuperated from other scrap or decommissioned hover taxis. You wanted to stay as close as possible to the common drone taxi layout because that way no one would think the better of just another drone taxi hanging around.
You did however add light cells you salvaged from scrapped cars and a larger battery to have a larger autonomy.

It is with said craft you lift off at nightfall and head to the coordinates provided by your fixer. And start your job as eye-in-the-sky. The bracelet you gave to your fixer has a secondary function, namely squeezing it sends a signal to your craft. Thus signaling you he/she (nobody told you) is in place.
It all goes smoothly at first. You get the signal, check your screens and get the thumbs up from your friend monitoring the Grid. So you give the green light and wait. The deal is that once the other DA is out you get another signal and everybody goes their way. The bracelet you would recover through your fixer.

Alas it wasn’t to be because suddenly your friend removes her immersion visor and urgently informs you about troubles on the Grid. You immediately trigger the bracelet alarm because troubles in the Grid are usually a precursor for troubles off the Grid. While you pull out of there your rearview sensors pick up some disturbance down below and on one of your screens you see the telltale signs of fireballs. You only did the compulsory magick curriculum but you know that fireballs are pretty advanced stuff so you double-time it out of there cursing under your breath.
There's only one thing left to do; cut the connection to the bracelet and hope the other DA makes it out alright
