“You’re going to give the client a show,” you tell Sabrina

“What kind of show?” Sabrina asks.

You all leave it at that and the three of you get back to work. Slowly, but surely the stacks of folders are scanned and filed away. Sabrina sighs and looks back to her monitor, but adds, “I’m too busy with work and school.”

You chuckle, “You know we’re in the same boat, right? I take the same courses you do, work the same internship…”

“Yeah and here I am working my butt off while you seem to just skate by!” Sabrina blurts out. “It’s not fair!”

You pause to think about that. “Well… maybe you don’t need to work that hard then.Sometimes you have to loosen once or you’ll stress yourself out.”

Sabrina sighs. “I suppose…”

A few hours later, the last of the files has been scanned in and put away. You all celebrate a job well done by picking up some drinks at the vending machine. Leaving the heat box prison and exhaling to the cooler main office air feels like a relief. The girls eagerly guzzle down the drinks you bring them and you all settle into Sabrina’s cubicle.
