Her sister/girlfriend, Zoe

"I'm your sister, Zoe, Zoe," the redhead Zoe said, "We've been dating for three years now." She pulled up a chair and sat down beside the bed.

"May I?" her sister, apparently, asked as she held out her hand. Zoe appreciated the human contact and held her hand tightly.

"How do know you I'm your sister and not some other Zoe?" Zoe asked her duplicate, "I didn't have any ID on me last night."

"The other Zoe you went home with last night was worried after you didn't come back," her supposed sister explained, "She called on your phone asking for you. When we heard on the news that a Zoe was almost killed by a meteorite in the park, she put two-and-two together because you were rambling about running around the park try and catch shooting stars."

"So you don't know for certain I am who you think I am," Zoe said.

"Is you last name Menny?" the other asked.

"Y-yes," Zoe said.

"Then we're sisters."

"This is a lot to take in," Zoe sighed.

"How much do you actually remember?"

"About...?" Zoe asked.

"The world, yourself, me," the other asked then brushed her twin sister's cheek, "us?"

"Nothing," Zoe admitted though she didn't dare admit all of her memories from her own world, or dimension, or what have you. Them thinking she was amnesiac was one thing, if she told them she was from another universe they would think she was delusional.

The other Zoe closed her eyes tight to hide her tears.

"So you don't know me or anyone else?"

Zoe shook her head no.

"Would you like to get to know me?" the other Zoe asked. Zoe gulped down her apprehension and nodded yes, though only because we she didn't really know what else to say. The other Zoe started telling her all about her, or rather their childhood, their mom, Zoe, and their other mom, Zoe, only one of whom actually had any kids.

The story almost matched her own memories except every name was changed and there were no men involved. She still had gone to college in Oregon and took the same major, and she still had the same job. She also remembered having a sister, though they weren't twins, and they certainly weren't lovers. Zoe started to feel really uncomfortable when her new sister got the that part.

Finally Zoe said, "I remember a little bit, I guess... in broad strokes anyway."

"Well it's a start," the redhead Zoe said right before the nurse appeared.

"Miss Menny, I'm sorry but visiting hours are almost over."

"Are you okay here by yourself tonight?" Sister Zoe asked.

"I'll be okay," Zoe tried to smile. Her sister tried to move in to kiss her, but then she pulled back realizing it might make Zoe uncomfortable.
